The New ‘Child’s Play’ Trailer Is Brutal AF

The trailer for Lars Kleveberg‘s Child’s Play remake is here giving us a look at the new Chucky voiced by Mark Hamill. While the killer doll lurks in the shadows we get a taste of the movie coming to theaters this June, including his origin story. Originally known as “The Good Guy Doll” the red-headed killer has been rebranded as “Buddi”, an A.I. doll. In the film, Aubrey Plaza plays the role of a mother who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll for his birthday, unaware of its sinister nature. Beatrice Kitsos (“The Exorcist”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”), and Ty Consiglio also star in the film written by Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury). Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are producing under their KatzSmith Productions banner. Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson are executive producing. Child’s Play will open in theaters on June 21, 2019.

Chucky Is Ready To Slash His Way Into Theaters In First Real Image From ‘Child’s Play’ Reboot

After months of teasing and waiting we finally have our first real look at the Child’s Play reboot. In the new art, we see Buddi, the new Chucky doll. While he does look similar to the classic doll we’ve come to love and fear. First, you’ll notice the doll’s bigger eyes, then its sleeker look. Orion and MGM have teamed up for the Child’s Play reboot with Polaroid director Lars Klevberg in the director’s chair. Richard Shepard’s Elegant Suspense Thriller ‘The Perfection’ Coming To Netflix

From director Richard Shepard (The Matador, Dom Hemingway, “Girls”) comes The Perfection, which took last year’s Fantastic Fest by storm. This elegant and terrifying suspense thriller is filled with unexpected twists and turns. It centers on Charlotte (Allison Williams), a troubled musician prodigy who seeks out Elizabeth (Logan Browning), the new star pupil of her former school, the encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences. A Death Predicting App Triggers Terror In STX Films’ ‘Countdown’

These days there’s an app for everything. If there was an app that revealed exactly when you’ll die, would you use it? That’s what STX Films’ new movie Countdown is all about. Written and directed by Justin Dec, Countdown stars “You” actress Elizabeth Lail, Talitha Bateman (Annabelle: Creation), Peter Facinelli (Twilight franchise), P.J Byrne (Green Book, Rampage), Anne Winters (Night School, 13 Reasons Why), Tom Segura (Instant Family), Jordan Calloway (Black Lightning, Riverdale) and Tichina Arnold (Everyone Hates Chris). Lail stars as a young nurse who downloads an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die. It tells her she only has three days to live. With time ticking away and a mysterious figure haunting her, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out. Sean Anders, John Morris, John Rickard, and Zack Schiller will be producing Countdown, according to Deadline.

Trailer For ‘I Eat Your Skin’ Promises “No Skin Will Be Spared”

New Wave Pictures’ remake of Del Tenney’s 1971 zombie flick I Eat Your Skin is headed our way. While we don’t have a release date, we do have the trailer. Starring Bollywood queen Sunny Leone, the movie centers on “A group of international photographers journey to photograph a rare bird in the Philippines, the Black Shama. They are told the legend of an ancient warlord whose spirit is said to still roam the land. Ignoring the warnings, they travel deep into the jungle and set up camp. When one of them finds a fresh corpse clutching a strange talisman, he becomes host to the vengeful ghost and begins to prey on his fellow travelers. By spear, by machete, by teeth – no skin will be spared.” I Eat Your Skin is an Australian/Philippines co-production from director John Klyza and is said to be “starkly divert from the original but with callbacks.”

Movie Review: Hellboy (2019) Watch in 4DX or Heckle at Home

The Hellboy films by Guillermo del Toro sought out to humanize monsters. His character portrayals were softer and relatable. Hellboy by director Neil Marshall and writer Andrew Cosby instead created a genuinely fun, weird adventure. Hellboy’s filled with blood, gore, bad jokes, and killer visuals. The film aspired to blaze its own trail from the beginning. Telling the Hellboy story differently was the goal. I sought out a different experience as well and saw the film in 4DX. 4DX is a motion picture technology which adds environmental effects. Seat motion, wind, rain, scents, and lights accompany a standard audio and visual movie. The technology debuted in 2009 in Seoul, South Korea. The tech hit the U.S. in 2014, and this would be my first experience with it. The movie takes the obligation to share origin stories seriously. James Wan Confirms The Plot For ‘The Conjuring 3’

As The Conjuring universe continues to expand, we are faced with multiple new sequels headed our way including The Nun 2, Annabelle Comes Home and The Conjuring 3 which is the movie we’re here to talk about today. The third installment of The Conjuring franchise is set to begin filming this June in Atlanta with Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona) in the director’s chair. The movie is based on the true story of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, a man on trial where demonic possession. His case was the first time demonic possession was used as a legal defense. The defense did not completely work, on November 24, 1981, in Brookfield, Connecticut, Johnson was convicted of first-degree manslaughter for murdering his landlord. Director Paul Hyett is taking us back to the 17th century for the terrifying supernatural tale The Convent. In the new trailer, a young woman is left to fight for life and her soul. Elisabeth Moss Confirmed For Leigh Whannell’s ‘The Invisible Man’

One of the horror films we’re most looking forward to next is Leigh Whannell‘s Universal Monster reboot of The Invisible Man, which he wrote and will direct. Universal and Blumhouse are teaming up for the film which will hopefully put Universal’s Dark Universe back on track after The Mummy failed to please fans and critics back in 2017. Last month we reported that “The Handmaid’s Tale” actress Elisabeth Moss was in negotiations to star. We can now confirm that the talented actress has now officially signed. Johnny Depp was originally attached but is no longer involved with the project. In the original 1933 film, a scientist finds a way of becoming invisible, but in doing so, he becomes murderously insane. We’ve since seen the film rebooted and remade. It’s also inspired several films including 2000’s Hollow Man.

American Gods’ Orlando Jones Will Face ‘Dark Forces’ In Upcoming Horror Film

Today, Lexicon announced that they have cast actor Orlando Jones in Dark Forces, the third film from The Timber director Anthony O’Brien who co-wrote the script along with Lexicon co-founders and producers Mark Mathias (Doubting Thomas) and Justin Foia (Point Defiance). In Dark Forces, “While recovering from brain surgery at a rehabilitation center, acclaimed monster movie director Jerry Graves (Jones) becomes haunted by the ghastly creatures and grisly scenes of his own horror films.” It’s a huge honor to be directing Dark Forces in and of itself, but to have Orlando Jones as the lead is beyond thrilling,” says O’Brien. “Building the film around him was the easiest decision I could make.
