Christina Ricci (Sleepy Hollow, The Addams Family, “Z”) is starring in the new supernatural thriller Monstrous, directed by Chris Sivertson (All Cheerleaders Must Die, The Lost) and written by Carol Chrest. The news was announced today by Screen Media, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company, in association with Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment. Steven Spielberg & The Duffer Bros. Adapting Stephen King’s ‘The Talisman’

A while back we reported that Mike Barker (The Handmaid’s Tale) was set to adapt Stephen King’s The Talisman. Since then there have been some changes. Steven Spielberg is now teaming up with the Duffer Brothers (“Stranger Things”) and the master of written horror himself will be involved. Curtis Gwinn, a writer-executive producer for the Duffer Brothers’ “Stranger Things”, will serve as writer and showrunner for the adaptation produced by Netflix in association with Spielberg’s Amblin Television and Paramount Television Studios. Reportedly, Spielberg, who has been itching to adapt King’s tale for years and secured the rights to the novel back in 1982. Fans Being Gifted A ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night’ Reboot

One of the best-recognized holiday horror films is 1984’s controversial Silent Night, Deadly Night. Now, it’s joining the ranks of many horror films before it, it’s getting a reboot. Deadline is reporting that Orwo Studios and Black Hanger Studios, the same folks behind the upcoming Jeepers Creepers: Reborn movie are behind the reboot. The good news is that the original movie’s producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead of Wonderwheel Entertainment are also on board. Silent Night, Deadly Night has already spawned several sequels and a remake in 2012. But the original film follows a child traumatized after seeing his parents murdered by a man dressed as Santa. Years later, he puts on the suit himself and sets out to get revenge. The film was labeled controversial back when it was released due to its graphic violence.
