Two New Clips Take Us Into ‘The Night’ – Out Now On VOD And Digital

To celebrate the release of the award-winning Iranian horror film The Night, which HorrorFuel’s Joseph Perry calls “a gripping chiller” in his review, we’ve got two brand new clips to share with you. Directed and co-written by Kourosh Ahari, the film follows an Iranian couple, Babak and Neda, and their one-year-old daughter, Shabnam. Returning home from a friend’s gathering, Babak drives drunkenly, too stubborn to let Neda drive with a suspended license. When Babak’s driving threatens the safety of the family, Neda insists they stay the night at a hotel. Movie Review: Neil Marshall’s ‘The Reckoning’ Will Cast A Spell On You

Neil Marshall is a name you should be very familiar with. He’s the director behind movies such as The Descent, Dog Soldiers, and Tales of Halloween. He’s back with a new film, The Reckoning. Set in England in the late 17th century, the Great Plague is raging as the witch trials cause hysteria, people begin to fear their friends, neighbors, and family, may be witches. During this time in history in real life, over 1,000 innocent people were imprisoned, tortured, and killed with ninety percent of the victims being women. All it took was a whisper for these people to be condemned. This is a key element in The Reckoning. In the opening scene, we see Grace (Charlotte Kirk), an exhausted mother kiss her baby before retrieving a sword from a chest. Amber Alert Issued For Chucky And Glen (Yes, Really)

Two days ago subscribers of the Texas Alert System got a bit of a shock when they received an alert to be on the lookout for a kidnapper named Chucky and his son Glen. Yes, really. Issued on January 28th, the Amber Alert described Chucky as being a suspect, standing 3inches tall, weighing 16 pounds, wearing overalls, having red hair, and being 28-years-old. Glen, the reported kidnap victim, was described as a 5-year-old weighing 6 pounds, and being 2 feet 3 inches tall. To top it off, the alert also featured photos of the pair with a real number to call to report any sightings. Deadline reports that the Alert System apologized for the mistake. ‘Suspiria’ Director And Writer Reunite For ‘Bones & All’

Suspiria director Luca Guadagino is reuniting with screenwriter David Kajganich for Bones & All, described as a “horror love story.” Deadline is reporting that Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name) is now in talks to play the lead role in the film, but he’s not the only star currently in negotiations for the film, Escape Room actor Tayloe Russell is also in talks to star in a key role. Guadagnino and Chalamet previously worked together on the romantic drama Call Me By Your Name. We’ll keep you posted.

‘Cloverfield’ Is Finally Getting A Direct Sequel

Back in 2008, there were discussions of a possible new direct sequel to Matt Reeve‘s highly acclaimed monster movie Cloverfield, which spawned 10 Cloverfield Land and The Cloverfield Paradox which both went in new directions. A proper sequel to Cloverfield never materialized, until now. Paramount and Bad Robot have now hired Joe Baron, the showrunner for HBO’s “The Batman”, to pen the script for the direct sequel which will be see J.J Abrams return as a producer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the true sequel has now entered development. One thing will be different from the original though, it will not be found-footage. While details are still slim we also know that the original movie’s director Matt Reeves will not be involved. New Uncut Version Of ‘No Reason’ Being Released

Today, Unearthed Films announced it is releasing a new version of German director Olaf Ittenbach’s 2010 gorefest No Reason, uncut and off a new scan of the master, and with new features and bonus material. “NO REASON has never looked better,” said Stephen Biro, President and Founder, Unearthed Films. In the film, engulfed by anguish, and trapped inside an allegory of torment and carnage, Jennifer’s (Irene Holzfurtner) soul seeks the path of awareness and enlightenment. Shudder’s Critically Acclaimed Horror ‘Host’ Coming To Blu-ray & DVD

RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, has picked up select rights to Host from Shudder, AMC Networks’ streaming service for horror, thriller, and the supernatural. Host, which is Certified 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes was shot remotely during quarantine and features groundbreaking scares, stunts, and surprises, all filmed by the actors in their own homes. The project was commissioned, written, produced, and will be released in under three months. Host is the feature directorial debut of Rob Savage who co-wrote the film with Gemma Hurley (Shoot for the Moon) and Jed Shepherd (Multiplex).
