Corin Hardy And Sam Raimi Team Up For Netflix Horror ‘Every House Is Haunted’

Sam Raimi and director Corin Hardy (The Nun) are teaming up for the new horror movie Every House is Haunted, Deadline is reporting. The Netflix movie was penned by Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman, the writing team behind Project Almanac, and is based on Ian Rogers’ short story The House on Ashley Avenue. Every House is Haunted centers on an insurance investigator who tries to debunk claims that a couple’s death was caused by a haunted house, but his doubts are challenged by a psychic and the mysterious occurrences he witnesses with his own eyes. Genre legend Sam Raimi will be producing under his Raimi Productions banner along with Roy Lee under his Vertigo Entertainment. Vertigo’s Andrew Childs will be executive producing. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. Ryan Murphy Casts “AHS” Star Even Peters As Famous Serial Killer In Netflix Series ‘Monster’

Like always, Ryan Murphy is turning to his “American Horror Story” alum to cast his new Netflix series, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” TVline reports. According to the site, Murphy has cast long-time “AHS” star, Evan Peters, as the infamous serial killer in the limited series. “Monster tells the tale of one of America’s most infamous killers, who was convicted of murdering 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991, with his methods including mutilation, necrophilia, and cannibalism. The series will focus on the perspective of Dahmer’s victims and will also look at the police incompetence and apathy that allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree, with Dahmer (aka the “Milwaukee Cannibal”) repeatedly being nearly apprehended but then let go by a justice system that saw him as harmless. Fans of the John Wick franchise and its star Keanu Reeves will be excited to learn that Reeves will be starring in Netflix’s new live-action adaptation of his hit comic, BRZRKR. Netflix is also currently developing an anime series on the same comic that will also star and be produced by Reeves. Exciting news! Netflix is developing a live-action film AND follow-up anime series based on Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR, a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. Filming For Mike Flanagan’s ‘The Midnight Club’ Series Has Begun

Mike Flanagan, the brilliant filmmaker behind Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Game, and Netflix’s “Haunting of Hill House” is back with his new Netflix series adaptation of Christopher Pike’s 1994 novel The Midnight Club with co-creator Leah Fong. Flanagan announced earlier this week on Twitter that filming is officially underway with him directing several episodes as well as executive producing along with Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy. Flanagan has stated that the series focuses on a club of terminally ill young adults who gather together at midnight to tell scary stories and make a pact that whichever of them dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave. Netflix Strikes Record Breaking Deal For Gothic Horror ‘The Pale Blue Eye’

Netflix has just made a massive, record-breaking $55 million deal at the European Film Market to obtain director Scott Cooper‘s (Antlers) upcoming Gothic horror-thriller The Pale Blue Eye, starring Oscar-winning American Psycho and The Dark Knight actor Christian Bale. In the 1830 set film, Bale plays the role of a veteran detective investigating a series of murders at the West Point Academy. He’s is helped by a young cadet who will later become the famous author Edgar Allen Poe. Cooper also penned the script that is based on Louis Bayard’s novel. Bale produces with Cooper, John Lesher (Birdman), Tyler Thompson, and Cross Creek (The Trial Of The Chicago 7).

Joe Wright‘s The Woman in the Window was set to open in theaters earlier this year but like many films got caught up in the madness of the pandemic. We can report that the movie is heading to Netflix! In the film, listed as a psychological suspense thriller, an agoraphobic child psychologist befriends a neighbor across the street, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and in what she suspects is foul play. Amy Adams (Arrival) leads the all-star cast that includes Julianne Moore (Hannibal, Psycho 1998), Gary Oldman (Bram Stoker’s Dracula), Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Endgame), Wyatt Russell (Overlord), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), and Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play 2019).
