Premiere Date Revealed For Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries”

One of the most iconic series of my childhood was “Unsolved Mysteries.” Each week I couldn’t wait to plop down in front of the TV for the Robert Stack hosted show to examine unsolved mysteries, missing person cases, murders, ghosts, UFOs, and more. A few weeks backed weeks back we reported that the series is getting a reboot from Netflix. Today, we can report that we’ve learned that the premiere date is set for July 1st. The series, executive produced by “Stranger Thing’s” Shawn Levy, will be a bit different than the hit show that debuted in January of 1987. Firstly, there will be no host. Another difference is that each episode will only focus on one subject, unlike the original. This time around, the series is documentary style. “Supernatural” Actor And Director Richard Speight Jr. Fills Us In On New Projects

Richard Speight Jr. has starred in many films and series including as Gabriel from the mega-hit series “Supernatural.” But that’s not all, he’s made quite the name for himself as a director, directing episodes of both “Supernatural,” “Lucifer,” and “Kings of Con.” Richard Speight Jr’s most recent role was in the soon to be released supernatural film Driven, written by Casey Dillard and directed by Glenn Payne, in which he plays a man on a mission to end his family’s curse and takedown the dark entities that the curse released. Tom Ellis Signs On For Season Six Of “Luficer”

Good news has arrived for “Lucifer” fans! The series’ star Tom Ellis has wrapped contract negotiations for season six. Last month a dispute arose over his contract that if not worked out would have killed the show. With season five yet to premiere on Netflix and word of cancelation looming it seemed as if a miracle had happened when Warner Bros. and Netflix extended the series after it passed its deal for the fourth and fifth seasons. Like many series and films, the Covid-19 pandemic will affect its release. While the premiere date for season 5 is yet to be announced at least we know the show has a future. Speaking of futures, the titles of the season’s episodes tease some big events. Blumhouse’s Zombie Series “Betaal” Premieres This Weekend On Netflix

Blumhouse continues to fuel horror fan’s nightmares. The genre powerhouse will unleash their new zombie action series “Betaal” this weekend on Netflix. Set in a remote village, which quickly becomes the arena of a breathless battle when a two-century-old East India Company Colonel, infected with the Betaal’s curse, and his battalion of blood-thirsty zombie redcoats are released from their tomb – attacking anything with a pulse. With the Counter Insurgency Police Department (CIPD) forces pitted against the undead army, hapless civilians are trapped in a gripping, edge-of-your-seat conflict. The series features 4 50-minute episodes and stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Suchitra Pillai, Aahana Kumra, Jeetendra Joshi, Jatin Goswami, Manjiri Pupala, and Syna Anand. ‘Haunting Of Hill House’ Creator Adapting “The Midnight Club” For Netflix

The team behind Netflix’s hit series “The Haunting of Hill House” is now set to adapt the Christopher Pike novel “The Midnight Club” for the streaming giant, according to Variety. Originally published back in 1994, the story is set at Rotterdam Home, a hospice for terminally ill teens. A group of patients begins to gather at midnights to share scary stories. Eventually, they make a pact that whichever kid dies first they will contact the others from beyond the grave. Mike Flanagan, who brought us “Haunting of Hill House” and will deliver its sequel “The Haunting of Bly Manor” later this year, also serves as the creator for the adaptation along with Leah Fong. Flanagan will executive produce under the Intrepid Pictures banner along with Trevor Macy. Fong will also executive produce. “Stranger Things” Star Teases Season 4 In Newly Surfaced Video

Thanks to the Coronavirus production has been put on hold for a lot of films and series. Unfortunately, “Stranger Things” is on that list. Production of season four has been put on hold, but that’s not going to stop the cast from giving fans a taste of what will come this season. In the season three finale, it appeared that David Harbour‘s Jim Hopper had sacrificed himself. ‘Train To Busan’ Director Making ‘Hellbound’, A Supernatural Horror Series For Netlix

Director Yeon Sang-ho made waves with his 2016 hit zombie film Train to Busan, whose sequel Penninsula is on the way. Now, the director has a new project, a Netflix series titled Hellbound. The series is an adaptation of Choi Gyu-seok‘s Korean webtoon Hell, which tells of a group surviving under social chaos when a group of supernatural beings appear and condemn people to hell. A new religious group interprets them as the will of the divine. There is no release date announced as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, check out the trailer for Peninsula.

Indie Pop Artist Covers Joe Exotic Song “Here Kitty Kitty”

One of the biggest subjects on social media right now is the insane Netflix’s docuseries “Tiger King” which is currently number one on the streaming giant. The series follows the wild story of big cat and zoo owner Joe Exotic and his journey that ends when he’s arrested and sent in prison where he is doing time on animal cruelty charges and a murder for hire plot, his target, Carole Baskin. In the docuseries, we see Joe express his hatred over and over again for Baskin and his opinion that Baskin murdered her husband and fed him to the tigers.
