Now, the latest installment, a remake from director William Eubank (The Signal, Underwater), is on its way and according to Jason Blum of Blumhouse, the movie is already made and set to premiere on Paramount Plus in 2022. The movie’s done,” Blum told Collider. “Yeah, we did it.” Originally the franchise was intended to end in 2015, but Paramount had other ideas. Jeff Buhler, who penned the script for the 2019 adaptation, based on the Stephen King story, wrote the prequel which was last revised by Beer, THR is reporting. Natalie Alyn Lind (“Big Sky,” “Tell Me a Story”), Jack Mulhern (“Mare of Easttown”), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), and Isabella Star LaBlanc have joined the cast with Jackson White (“Mrs. Fletcher”) playing a young Jud Crandall. We can’t help but wonder if the prequel will involve the cautionary story that Jud recounts to Louis about Timmy, the young man who was the last person buried in the Pet Sematary. During the story, Jud says those famous lines, “Sometimes dead is better.” But we could be completely wrong. We
