‘Resident Evil 3’ Coming April 2020

This is rumor control, here’s the facts! (Bonus points if you know what line that came from!) Last week it was leaked that CAPCOM will announce that there most terrifying installment of the “Resident Evil” game series will be remade. Well… it’s true! Following the success of Resident Evil 2, CAPCOM will be indeed remaking and releasing Resident Evil 3. The story of the game will again follow Jill Valentine in the events leading up to RE2. Players will be taken to the streets of Raccoon City as the T-Virus ripped through the city all the while being chased by the scariest enemy in the game series, Nemesis. From the trailer, you can see characters from the original game are making a return like Carlos, Mikhail, and Nikolai, the mercenaries hired by Umbrella, and of course Brad. New ‘Resident Evil’ Co-Op Game In The Works

CAPCOM has announced at the Tokyo Game Show that they’re currently in works of developing a new five-player online co-op game set in the “Resident Evil” universe with the working title of Project Resistance. CAPCOM will make the game in partnership with NeoBards Entertainment. Four players take on the roles of survivors who are trapped in a twisted man-made game of survival with one player taking on the role of the “Mastermind” who controls what horrors awaits the team of survivors. Each survivor has a certain set of skills that will help aid their teammates as they go through the twisted mazes and obstacles that the Mastermind has put in place. Players must work together to solve puzzles and fight enemies that the Mastermind may unleash on them in order to escape before time runs out! ‘Resident Evil’ Vinyl Soundtracks Coming In May!

Capcom is teaming up with Laced Records to release the original soundtracks for Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2, on vinyl! Fans of the games and collectors of records now have the opportunity to pre-order the soundtracks. Both soundtracks are composed by the Capcom Sound Team, Masami Ueda, Makoto Tomozawa and Akira Kaida. Both albums are remastered deluxe double-vinyl 180g LPs that you can either order in traditional black or special limited edition LPs that are in a marbled color. The Resident Evil soundtrack will consist of 44 songs from the 2002 Nintendo Game Cube version while the Resident Evil 2 records will have 31 songs from the original 1998 game. It should be noted that the images of the soundtracks are mock-ups and may look different at the time of release.

Opinion: Remaking ‘Resident Evil 4’ Would Be A Bad Idea

CAPCOM’s biggest release of 2018, Resident Evil 2, was a hit with critics and fans, myself included. The game is a remake of the original but not in a traditional “remake” sense. With the exception of the Orphanage level and a few extra scenes (or scene rewrites), the overall plot was the same along with the stories of the game’s two main heroes Claire and Leon. The major changes to RE2 obviously were the graphics and art making it more detailed to a real-world scenario, and the adoption of the third-person over-the-shoulder view for players, the first time this was seen in the “Resident Evil” game series was the 4th installment of the game, Resident Evil 4. ‘The Ghost Survivors’ DLC Coming To ‘Resident Evil 2’ UPDATE

If you have not got a copy of the horror game of the year, Resident Evil 2, then this news of an upcoming free Downloadable Content (DLC) should entice you. In the upcoming mode The Ghost Survivors, players will turn back the clocks during the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City and see the nightmare from three new angels. In this “what if” scenario, you take on the roles of three individuals who have not survived the outbreak. In the segment titled, “No time to mourn”, follows gun shop owner Robert Kendo whose appearance in the Resident Evil 2 remake is more tragic than in the original where he was just a cannon fodder character. In “Runaway” players for the first time can see Katherine Warren, daughter of Raccoon City’s mayor like never before…alive. Finally in “Forgotten Soldier” you get to see through the eyes of another surviving Umbrella Special Ops soldier, teasing that legendary Hunk was not the only survivor

“Resident Evil’ TV Series Coming To Netflix

Are you ready for this? Resident Evil is headed to a TV near you. That’s right the hit film franchise is getting a small screen adaptation from streaming giant Netflix, Deadline has confirmed. Constantin Film, who was also behind the movie franchise that started back in 2002, based on the Capcom gaming franchise, is also behind the upcoming series which will be available globally. The show will explore the inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation which caused the global outbreak of the T-virus. Not only are we getting a “Resident Evil” series, we are also getting a new reboot of the franchise from director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down).

Johannes Roberts Set To Direct ‘Resident Evil’ Reboot

Constantin Films has found a director for their Resident Evil franchise reboot and it happens to be one of our favorite directors, Johannes Roberts. Roberts will also be co-writing the movie, Variety reports. Roberts has a killer record when it comes to horror and thrillers. He’s the director that brought us 47 Meters Down, and The Strangers: Prey at Night, and the underrated film The Other Side of the Door. Based on the video game, Resident Evil follows Alice (Milla Jovovich) as she battles her way through hordes of zombies terrorizing Raccoon City after an Umbrella Corp. experiment goes terribly wrong unleashing the undead plague. Co-writer Greg Russo promised fans just a week ago that the movie will return to the game’s horror roots. ‘Resident Evil 2’ Remake Looks Good, Scary Good

It’s been rumored ever since Capcom did a remake of “Resident Evil” that they would remake their equally popular sequel. Well at E3 it was confirmed, the remake is coming January of 2019! The reveal trailer showed a mix of cinematic and gameplay images confirming one thing to veteran fans of the original… this is a terrifying new game! Like the more recent “Resident Evil” games (with the exception of “RE7”), the game will be an over the shoulder third-person game. The main focus of course is it’s obvious the game was strapped into a chair and pumped full of nightmare fuel. The setting looks darker, grittier, and bloodier the way a zombie video game should be. If the remake of “Resident Evil 2” looks terrifying, imagine when they remake “Resident Evil 3: Nemesis”!

Milla Jovovich Set To Star In ‘Monster Hunter’ Adaptation

Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich is teaming back up with director Paul W.S. Anderson (her husband) and producer Jeremy Bolt for Constantin Film’s Monster Hunter, Variety reports. Set to begin production this September with a $60 million budget in South Africa, the film is an adaptation of the video game franchise that first debuted back in 2008. The game tasks players with hunting down monsters.
