‘The Medium’ Is The Psychic Noir Horror You Didn’t Know You Needed

A big thank you to the hardworking folks at Bloober Team who came in clutch at the last minute to make this review possible, this game almost flew under the radar for me and I’m glad it didn’t! There are two sides to everything, even our world in The Medium. The Medium takes place in 1999 in Poland and players play as Marianne, a woman who has the gift of being a medium, someone who can communicate with spirits of the dead as well as those from the spirit world which she can travel to. Marianne is called by a mysterious man to go Niwa Workers’ Resort, an abandoned Soviet-era resort. Once Marianne enters the grounds of the resort, it becomes clear to her that something VERY wrong happened there. Now onto the game itself! The Medium’s controls, look, and feel is very reminiscing of the old school survival horror games, in this case, Silent Hill (which was a big

This weekend, CD Media released the first look at Silent Hill: Echoes, a new fan film. The story follows James Sunderland (Michael Ciesla, “Halloween: Inferno II”) as he searches for his late wife, Maria (Kaylin Cervini, “Book of Evil”) in Silent Hill. According to the filmmakers, Silent Hill: Echoes was made by fans, for fans. The movie promises to deliver strong horror while staying true to the franchise. Producer and Cinematographer Codey Dingfield (CD Media) came up with the concept. Silent Hill 2 inspired me to get into horror. I remember staying up late at night, all alone with my PS2, walking around the apartment and being scared at all times! The atmosphere. The audio design. The soundtrack. The creature design… All of it is timeless and beautiful.” Dingfield states. The score for the movie is being created by composer Peter Wicher, who has been a huge fan of Silent Hill since the first game was released in 1999. The

‘Silent Hill’ Actress Radha Mitchell Talks Theaters And Her New Film ‘Dreamkatcher’

I had the pleasure of sitting down with talented actress Radha Mitchell. Not only did she talk that iconic role in Silent Hill, but we also discussed her role in the soon to be released supernatural film Dreamkatcher in which she plays the role of Gail, a single father’s new girlfriend. Problems arise when a dark entity sets its sights on Gail and her boyfriend’s young son who are left alone at a secluded cabin, the same one where the boy’s mother was murdered. Radha has starred in many great movies during her career, including the creepy as hell movie Silent Hill, the fantastic 2010 remake of The Crazies, The Darkness in which she starred opposite Kevin Bacon, and 2004’s Man on Fire. Horror Fuel: “Silent Hill is a great movie and it was something we hadn’t seen before. You’ve been in so many great films, Silent Hill, The Crazies. You always seem to play a motherly type role.” Radha

‘Silent Hills’ Reportedly Out Of Production Hell!

Finally some potentially good news! It’s being reported that Kojima Productions and Project Siren will be working on two “Silent Hill” titles after reports say that Hideo Kojima was approached by Sony and Konami. Project Siren is said to be working on a reboot of Silent Hill while Kojima Productions is going to get back to work on Silent Hills, the canceled title everyone was looking forward to after playing the terrifying P.T. that changed first-person horror gaming. Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus have stated that they were going to be working on another game together, Reedus for those who did not know, appeared at the end of P.T. as it showed that he was going to be a featured character in the game before the cancelation and the messy departure of Kojima from Konami. Unfortunately, the information right now is extremely scarce but other information states that the two games will be PlayStation 5 Exclusives, which will suck if

Director Christopher Gans Reveals A New ‘Silent Hill’ Movie Is Coming

Nearly ten years have passed since we got a new installment of the Silent Hill franchise. Now, out of nowhere the original director, Christopher Gans has revealed that a new Silent Hill movie is in the works. While speaking with the website Allocine, Gans teased not only a new Silent Hill but a Project Zero (known as Fatal Frame in the United States) adaptation as well. I have two horror film projects with [producer] Victor Hadida,” Gans told the French site. “I am working on the adaptation of the video game Project Zero. The film will take place in Japan. I especially don’t want to uproot the game from its Japanese haunted house steeting. And we’re also working on a new Silent Hill. Silent Hill, and adaptation of the video game of the same name, made its debut back in 2006 and starred Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, and Laurie Holden. When her adoptive father disappears, Sharon Da Silva (Jodelle Ferland)

Interview With ‘COLINA: Legacy”s Composers Matthew Carl Earl & Jason Walsh Of Hexany Audio

Recently Chance6 Studios released their psychological horror game “COLINA: Legacy” on Steam. The game follows a young man named Alex who woke up alone in his grandmother’s house and realizes that things are not right. The story calls back to survival horror games from the past and mixes it with escape room puzzles all the while facing the unknown. One thing can make or break a good movie or video game, the soundtrack. When you want the best for your music you go to the best to get it done, this is where Hexany Audio comes in. You may not know the name but you most likely heard their work. Hexany Audio has done sound design, music composition, and voice-over recordings for companies like Disney, Google, Apple, SONY, Nike, Ubisoft, and Activision just to name a few! I was honored to interview two of Hexany Audio’s composers who worked on “COLINA: Legacy”, Matthew Carl Earl, lead composer and co-owner of

‘Remothered: Tormented Fathers’ Is Praised By Horror Gaming Legend

“Remothered: Tormented Fathers”, a survival horror video game that’s a throwback to classic interactive entertainment titles that define the genre. With the impending console release less than 24 hours away (July 25, 2018) the game and its hardworking developers received some (well deserved) recognition and praise from a legend in the horror gaming field. Chris Darril, creative director of “Remothered: Tormented Fathers” received a tweet from Keiichiro Toyama who praised the game. Toyama is the creator of critically acclaimed gaming horror phenomenon “Silent Hill”. To put it in perspective to some, this is the equivalent of Leonardo da Vinci saying the sketch you just drew was amazing, Dave Grohl liking a melody you were humming, or Alfred Hitchcock praising your two-minute long film project. Not only did Toyama praise the game, he even expressed interest in doing a project together with Darril someday which a big deal is since Toyama’s past works “Silent Hill” and “Siren” helped inspired “Remothered: Tormented

Horror Games That Need A High Definition Remake

Many games in recent times have been given an HD reboot to be compatible with more recent gamming consoles, Resident Evil (Biohazard) has been given a complete makeover with an all new HD game called Resident Evil (Biohazard) HD Remaster that’s available on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. This would be the game’s second makeover so I thought why stop with this game? There are some horror games in the past that I think are due for an “HD Remaster” makeover too. So here are a few games that I feel deserve a reboot into the HD age in no particular order. Alone in the Dark (PC, 1992) There is a game by the same title that was made in 2008 that’s part of the long game series, I’m talking about the original game that you played on DOS in the 90’s (real 90’s kids know this!) the game is actually considered the first survival horror game to be
