20 Things You Didn’t Know About Supernatural

Supernatural, now in it’s 11th season, has a huge following. And what’s not to love? The series follows brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester as they fight demons, vampires, and other supernatural beings to keep the world safe, with the help of a rouge angel named Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley, the King of Hell (Mark Sheppard). Here are 20 intereting facts about the beloved series. Supernatural made it TV debut on The WB on September 13, 2005. The series is mostly filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia. Jensen Ackles was originally cast as Sam, but when Jared Padalecki auditioned for the part, Ackles was recast as big brother Dean. Sam’s character was originally named Sal, but the show’s creator, Eric Kripke, changed it because the name was not working for the character. I wonder why. Crowley’s real name is Fergus Roderick MacLeod on the show. Kripke worked on the Supernatural script for ten years before the show

Supernatural Goes To Hell In The Mid-Season Premiere

The long running hit series Supernatural returns Wednesday, January 20th with the second half of season 11. When we last saw Sam, his plan to talk to Lucifer, with the help of Crowley and his mother, had back fired in a big way. Sam is locked in the cage with Lucifer with only two choices, stay or say yes to being Lucifer’s vessel. Dean was off dealing with Amara (The Darkness) and a flock of angels, having no clue how much trouble his little brother is in. Now, with both the boys are in tough spots, Sam in the cage and Dean heading to hell to come to Sam’s rescue. This time it may take everyone teaming up to pull off the rescue. No matter what the situation is, I have faith that our boys will find a way to come out on top. There have been several new teaser trailers released in the past few days, and we just

Darkness Is Coming In Season 11 Of Supernatural

‘Supernatural’ is now the longest running series in the history of The CW. Personally, I hope we still have many seasons left to come. Shows that have such a huge, dedicated following are rare these days and I’ll admit it, I’m a huge ‘Supernatural’ fan, I have been hooked since the beginning. Dean and Sam’s history is complicated, Castiel and Crowley are flawed and when added to the mix makes for a entertaining show that has endless turns and will keep you guessing. Dean spent last season fighting the mark of Cain. Finally,at the end of season 10, the curse of Cain was lifted. Dean kills Death and darkness is unleashed. Last we saw Castiel, he was under a spell driving him to try to kill Crowley. The last moments of the season 10 finale set us up for an action packed start to season 11. The brothers are facing an onslought of evil hidden inside the darkness. This season

Halloween III: A Second Look

Gather Round Your TV Sets, Kids “You don’t really know much about Halloween.” – Conal Cochran Oh, You Mean THAT Halloween Movie… It’s the one without Michael Myers. It has nothing to do with the other movies. This one sucks. Right? Well you’re right on two counts. Halloween III: Season of the Witch does not have Michael Myers. It is not connected in any way to the Jamie Lee Curtis storyline started with the 1978 John Carpenter classic and most importantly, it was never meant to. Halloween III is as misunderstood as it is reviled with most of the hostility for the film attributed to the concept of Cynema. “When the [ Halloween II ] script came in I thought it was…the anti-Halloween. All the things that Halloween did so well…had been tossed out the window…I understood that in the intervening time between the first movie and what was going to be the second movie that times had changed, audiences

Tales from The Book of Dark Magic by C. R. Sztaba.

Tales from The Book of Dark Magic by C. R. Sztaba is the first short story collection of author C. R. Sztaba. The book was sent to us by our friends at Kensington Gore Publishing for an honest review and feature on the website. I personally am a fan of short story collections and anthologies, so I was eager to pounce on this collection and become familiar with a new author in the process. Book Description: Tales From The Book Of Dark Magic is a collection of short turbine stories by C.R.Sztaba. “The new name in horror” from Kensington Gore’s Hammered Horror publishing company. Read, if you dare,” The Unicorn Surgeon”. A story about a man who likes to operate on his victims in the most diabolical way. Or, “The Little People”. the creepy tale of a family who discover with terrifying consequences that their new home has wanted guests hiding in the cellar. These stories will have you checking

Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo

Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo is a highly rated book which begins an 8 volume series of the same name. The series has 4.4 of 5 stars, so I went in expecting good things. This is what I found… Book Description: It was a flu season like no other. With the H1N1 virus running rampant throughout the country, people lined up in droves to try and attain one of the coveted vaccines. What was not known was the effect this largely untested, rushed to market, inoculation was to have on the unsuspecting throngs. Within days, feverish folk throughout the country convulsed, collapsed, and died, only to be reborn. With a taste for brains, blood, and bodies, these modern-day zombies scoured the lands for their next meal. Overnight the country became a killing ground for the hordes of zombies that ravaged the land. This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying

NBC To Stream Season One Of ‘Constantine’

I know Constantine fans are loosing there minds while waiting to find out if NBC will renew the show for a second season. I’m right there with you all, I love Constantine. Even though the show is still in Limbo, I do have a little good news. NBC will begin streaming the entire first season on their website April 24, for a limited period of time. It’s unknown if the views on the website will influence Constantine’s chances for renewal. Either way, it’s a great chance to catch up on missed episodes or just rewatch the series from beginning to end (hopefully not “The End”). For first time watchers here is what it’s all about: Occultist Constantine (Matt Ryan), along with his right hand man Chaz (Charles Halford), the lovely psychic Zed (Angelica Celaya) travel to sites with seriously bad mojo, in attempts to help reign in the evil. Constantine is watched over by his guardian angel Manny (Harold Perrineau).
