A Quartet Of Quintessential Stephen King Films To Be Featured In A New Blu-ray Collection

As is the case with most of you, my Little Monsters, I am eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of cinematic fare by that Master of the Macabre, Stephen King. We have The Dark Tower coming out on August 4th and IT which is due out on September 8th. But four iconic King horror films will also be released as a collection somewhere in between these two highly anticipated theatrical releases. The 1979 adaptation of Salem’s Lot, Stanley Kubrick’s film version of The Shining, King’s second anthology film, Cat’s Eye, and the original 1989 mini-series adaptation of IT are being compiled for a Blu-ray collection called the “King og Horror Collection”. Granted, each of these adaptations have already been released independently, but such a collection would be a great way to get all the films in one place and would also make a perfect gift to provide newer fans a look at how some of King’s nightmarish stories have been translated

Abbey Grace – Everything You’ve Already Seen in One, Fun Plot

Just finished watching Stephen Durham’s Abbey Grace and, although it isn’t a perfect movie, I definitely enjoyed watching it. The movie focuses on a sister (Debbie Sheridan) who returns to her childhood home to look after her agoraphobic brother (Jacob Hobbs). Both Sheridan and Hobbs offer convincing performances of the frustrations they feel and can’t seem to understand in each other. However, as the movie progressed, it became very clear why they got he leads as opposed to the other actors in the film. Invited to the house to observe Hobbs’ character, Amber Gallaway plays a renowned doctor who wasn’t necessarily a bad actress, but she seemed more like a giddy valley-girl in booty shorts as opposed to a highly touted professional. Semi Anthony, the exorcist, used an accent that was so muddles and off that I was waiting to know if he was joking or not….the film should have been a two- person cast. Aside from the downhill spiral

A Look At The Incredible Creations Of Rusty Blonde

Last night while scrolling through Facebook I came across a necklace with the sculpted bust of the werewolf from ‘The Howling’. It blew my mind. I had to look further into the artist’s page, Rusty Blonde Art. I found jewelry depicting sculpts of everyone from Poe to Edward Scissorhands to Jack Torrance from ‘The Shining’. It was not all jewelry, there are also figures that look so real that I had to look twice, then a third time. They are all absolutely amazing. Imge Celepçi (aka Rusty Blonde), an amazingly gifted freelance artist/sculpter from Istanbul, Turkey. After only four years of working with Polymer clay, at the age of 33 Imge has the skill that normally takes a lifetime to build. Her workshop can be found at the isolated house in rural Istanbul that she shares with her husband, who she bills as “the best known metal singer/musician in the country”, and their four rescue dogs. She is also a

Image Of Apparition Captured At The Stanley Hotel

The Children’s Museum of Houston Texas’ publicist, Henry Yau, is getting a taste of internet fame. It has nothing to do with the Children’s Museum, but stems from a photo he recently took inside the Stanley Hotel. In the photo a ghostly figure is captured standing at the top of the hotel’s grand staircase. Yau posted the photo on instagram (ares415) and it quickly went viral. In an interview with Click2Houston.com Yau stated that he did not take the photo in the dark and that he did not realize what was in the photo until the next day. The Stanley Hotel, made famous by Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 film adaption of Stephen King’s The Shining, is located in Estes Park, Colorado. It not only embraces its title as one of the most haunted locations in the U.S., it celebrates it and even holds ghost tours. The Stanley’s official website includes a history section that mentions two particular ghosts that haunt its

Feast Your Eyes On The Shining’s Overlook Hotel Gingerbread House

They have recreated The Shining‘s Overlook Hotel and its grounds in an amazing four foot-long gingerbread house . The detail is amazing. The gingerbread house features multiple scenes from Stanley Kurbick’s 1980 film, based on Stephen King’s novel.
