Comics we get down to brass tacks with Vampire Dad… Psychologist Dr. Raymond Walenski (Jackson Hurst) is the ultimate early ’60’s father figure; a great husband and father with an ideal suburban lifestyle… but that goes to shit right quick when he’s turned into a bloodsuckin’ fang-banger thanks to the beastly bite of Victoria, the Goddess of the Underworld (Sarah Palmer)! Now that he’s a full-fledged creature of the night, Doc Walenski is offered the position of therapist to the monsters of the world by vicious Victoria; and soon he’s balls deep in the neurotic n’ demonic denizens of the midnight hour… a fact that Walenski’s wife tries to keep from family and neighbor’s alike! Movie Review: Morbid Colors (2020)

The long and the short of the upcoming fright flick Morbid Colors goes as follows: a duo of freaky foster sisters set of an a quest to put the stalk n’ slay on a rich-as-balls socialite. Seems like a rather standard trip down our beloved Revenge Road, but the filmmakers have included one hell of a terror twist here cats n’ creeps; it seems the older sister is of the fang-bang set, and these ghoulish girls believe that Richie Rich mentioned previous is the vampire what done it! Along with that nifty preternatural premise up yonder, writer/director Matthew Packman has created a suitably cold and dreary world for this arcane action to go down in. Filled with leather jackets, slate-grey skies, underground metal bands, eyes hidden behind sunglasses, and an environment that is as bleak as the story set in it, this is one hell of a low-budget flick, and the careful choices of visuals and mythology sell the picture

The new version of the series, based on the 1987 classic, will have an all-new cast and will not feature original Lost Boys cast members Medalion Rahimi and Dakota Shapiro like the first version of the series planned. Rob Thomas, who co-wrote the new script, explained to Deadline the reason for the retooling. “There were scenes that we thought we could do a better job on, so it’s going through a 40% rewrite,” he said. “It’s not a total rewrite.” No cast members have been announced for the pilot as of yet.

Blu-ray Review: Dracula (1979)

Looking for a faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker’s masterpiece, Dracula? Well, it’s a hardy “tough shit” to you, because today we are turning our putrid peepers on John Badham’s 1979 version of that beloved terror tale! Beginning with Drac-attac’s arrival in jolly ol’ eerie England aboard the doomed ship The Demeter, this version skips that whole “journey to a foreboding castle” bag the yarn usually kicks off with. Anyhow, frail Mina van Helsing (Jan Francis… and see what I mean about “faithful”?) finds Drac’s (Frank Langella) limp form while calling on her friend Lucy Seward (Kate Nelligan… and again…), who’s pappy Dr. Jack Seward (Donald Pleasence) runs Ye Olde Local Loony Bin located within his stately clifftop mansion. Now Drac manages to fool everyone with his smooth as silk ways… but before long Mina is dead at the fangs of the that creepy count who strikes while Lucy is gallivanting about with her beau Jonathon (Trevor Eve). This results in
