Bianca Bradey Tells Us About Her Upcoming Projects Including Wyrmwood TV In An Interview

Today, I caught up with Australian actress Bianca Bradey star the indie zombie hit ‘Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead‘, who I first interviewed back in 2014. In ‘Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead’, after a comet breaks up above Earth, much of the world’s population quickly becomes affected by a strange illness, turning them into zombies with an intense hunger for human flesh. A group of survivors has banned together. Barry (Jay Gallagher) and his group are on a mission, his sister, Brooke (Bianca Bradley), has been kidnapped by a twisted doctor who carries out strange experiments. Barry and the rest of the group head out to rescue Brooke, not knowing that the experiments have given her a new power. A new series, ‘Wyrmwood TV‘, linked to the film, has just been announced. Bradey was willing to answer a few of my questions and filled us in on the upcoming series. We also discussed what she has been up to since

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Felissa Rose

Horror legend status for a character in a horror film, this is an accolade that is normally attributed to the villains and either the last man standing or more often the final girl. It’s not very often that the villain and final girl happen to be the same character. But for a 13 year old Felissa Rose, this would be the case…well, sort of. And it would be this role, which incidentally was her very first, that would immediately solidify her position as a horror legend. This Long Island native would make her debut in the role of Angela Baker in the 1983 classic summer camp horror flick, Sleepaway Camp. All the while Felissa knew that she was the killer in question, but it was a shock even to her what the big reveal at the end of the film would be. At this point I’m not even calling the twist ending a spoiler, because the movie is nearly 34

Something’s Brewing At Coven FX – Feast Your Eyes On Some Of The Perks Of Their Killer Campaign

A group of talented women have teamed up to open Coven FX, an FX shop by women, for women. Their GoFundMe campaign has begun and we wanted to give you a taste of what these women have to offer. Bailey Dukes, Miranda Riddle, Melissa Coulter (co-owner), Mary Rangel (model), Haylee Detroit (co-owner), Angela Santori Merritt (Shop Manager) Coven FX had an amazing photo shoot with photographer Chad Michael Ward. The first image is of the ghoul of your dreams, wearing the “Lucretia” mask. Which is available exclusively as a perk from the campaign and is available as either a glossy or metal print. The mask is also available as a must-have perk. The mask is named after Lucretia L. S. Brown, who accused Daniel H. Spofford of attempting to harm her with his “mesmeric” metal powers, in return she was accused of being a witch. The case went to trial in May of 1878, in Salem, Massachusetts, home of the

Woman (in Horror) Crush Wednesday: Danielle Harris

Hello again my Little Monsters, as previously promised I have returned to highlight yet another lovely and talented woman of the horror genre. This particular woman in horror, is one that I first became aware of back in the heyday of brick and mortar video stores and VHS movie rentals. Of course Danielle Harris was a young girl then but has grown up to be one of the most recognized faces in the genre. In the spring of 1988, Danielle had beaten out several young actresses, including Melissa Joan Hart, to play the role of Laurie Strode’s young daughter, Jamie Lloyd, in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Prior to taking on this role, she had only acted in one episode each of the TV series One Life to Live and Spencer for Hire. Danielle would reprise her role of Jamie LLoyd nearly one year later in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. At the age of 12

John and Sarah Makin – The Murderous Baby Farmers

The world has obviously changed drastically since the 1800s, but during that time in Australia there was what is called baby farming. It was for poor parents or single parents who were unable to raise their children. They would pay another couple to take the child so that there would be the possibility of a prosperous and happy life…John and Sarah Makin robbed the babies they farmed of both a prosperous life and life in general. These two monsters were a match made in Hell. John Makin was born on February 14, 1845 and Sarah was born August 15 of the same year. The couple were wed on August 27, 1871. Sarah had been married before and brought one child into the marriage and then had another daughter with John. John worked as a drayman (a driver of a low, flatbed wagon that transported various kinds of goods) and was injured which forced him to quit and the couple was

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday – Dee Wallace

Hello my Little Monsters, and thank you for joining me once again. As you may well know, it’s Women in Horror Month. And while it’s great that women heave a month during which we celebrate their substantial contribution to the horror genre, I truly believe that they should always be celebrated. So going forward on Wednesdays I will throw a spotlight on one of our wonderful women of horror. Today I’m going to start with my first ever TRUE crush – Dee Wallace (swoons). For me the spring of 1982 was when I first became aware of Ms. Wallace. Granted the summer of this year would also be when she unknowingly harbored a alien being in her home in a little movie called E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. And even though this is when I first started crushing on her, it wasn’t the movie I first had seen her in. Actually, I was in second grade, and during spring break while watching

Dates for 2017 Stranger With My Face International Film Festival Announced

The Stranger With My Face International Film Festival, which takes it’s name from the title of a young adult horror fiction novel written by Lois Duncan, is returning May 4th – 7th for its fifth edition. The four day festival will be held in Tasmania’s capital city of Hobart, and will include screenings, conferences, workshops, exhibitions and a number of year round “satellite events”. The festival specifically showcases the work of women directors, as well as exploring female perspectives within the realm of genre film. It has also become an important resource in Australia for genre film, and takes great pride in its involvement with the Women in Horror movement. Festival Director Briony Kidd expressed just how relevant of such a festival is in this day and age, when she said, “Events like this are needed more than ever, with women’s rights under threat around the world. Women are angry, and they have a lot to say. Genre filmmaking is

Anna Marie Hahn…Killer of the Elderly

Happy Women in Horror Month! This month we celebrate the women in the world of horror. I have done a number of articles on serial killers, mass murderers and other horrific people, but this moth I turn my focus to the world of female terror. Anna Marie Hahn (Filser) was born in Germany in 1906. She was the youngest of 12 children and started her scandalous life at a very early age. At 12 years old she had an affair with a married physician and birthed a son named Oskar. Her horrified family sent her to the States without her child to live with relatives there. While in America, she met and married fellow German immigrant Philip Hahn. After this marriage, she was reunited with her son. Anna, however was not the doting mother that fairy tales are made of. She had a severe gambling habit and began a life of robbery to pay her debts. On May 6, 1933
