This past summer The Chiller Channel announced that they had a new original series in the works titled Slasher. The series follows Sarah Bennett (Katie McGrath), a young woman who returns to the small town where she was born, only to find herself at the center of a series of copycat murders based on her parents’ brutal slaying. As the murders escalate, long-buried secrets come to light, making everyone around her a suspect or victim. Sarah finds herself questioning everything she has ever known and everyone around her.
Brandon Jay McLaren (Graceland), Wendy Crewson (Revenge), Steve Byers (The Man in the High Castle) and Dean McDermott (CSI) star along side McGrath (Jurassic World) in Slasher, directed by Craig David Wallace (Todd and the Book of Pure Evil). The creator, Aaron Martin (Killjoys) will be penning the script for the series. Slasher is slated to premiere some time in 2016.
