After nearly four decades, “The Ghost with the Most” is back! The new trailer for Tim Burton’s sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has arrived!

After a loss, the Deetz family returns to their ancestral home, still haunted by the mischievous Beetlejuice. Lydia Deetz, now a grown woman, grapples with the rebellious spirit of her teenage daughter, Astrid. As chaos brews in both the mortal realm and the Netherworld, it’s only a matter of time before Beetlejuice’s name is uttered thrice, unleashing his signature brand of mayhem.

This sequel promises a trip down memory lane for fans of the original. Director Tim Burton is committed to capturing the handcrafted charm of the 1980s and echoed this sentiment, emphasizing his desire to avoid an overreliance on technology.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice boasts an impressive cast. Michael Keaton is reprising his role as Beetlejuice. Winona Ryder returns to her role as Lydia. The original cast is joined by Jenna Ortega (Astrid Deetz), Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci. Catherine O’Hara and Justin Theroux add their talents to the ensemble. Danny Elfman returns to compose the film’s score.

The original, released in 1988, cemented itself as a cult classic. This sequel, penned by Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Seth Grahame-Smith, promises to honor the spirit of the original while introducing a new generation to the delightful chaos of Beetlejuice.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice returns to the world of the living on September 6, 2024 in theaters.
