It’s always nice when an original cast member returns to franchise even after several sequels have been made. THR is reporting that Jeff Glodblum is returning to the world of dinosaurs.
The actor first appeared in 1993’s Jurassic Park as know-it-all mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, then returned in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Now, he’s back to co-star in Jurassic World 2.
Blum will join returning actors Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong, who co-starred with Goldblum in the original. “Rexy”, the T-Rex from Jurassic Park, will also be rejoining the cast. Toby Jones, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, and James Cromwell co-star.
J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) is in the director’s chair for the mainly practical effects film. Colin Trevorrow, who directed the previous film, wrote the script along with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall, Belén Atienza, and Pat Crowley will produce. Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow will executive produce.
Jurassic World 2 will open in theaters nation-wide on June 22, 2018.
