Fans of The Conjuring franchise have eagerly been awaiting the release of the spin-off The Nun. Originally set to open in theaters this July, we are sad to report that the Corin Hardy directed flick has been delayed and will not arrive until this September.
Written by James Wan and Gary Dauberman, the film centers on the evil entity faced by Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring 2 and will serve as a prequel. Demián Bichir will play Father Burke who is dispatched by Rome to investigate the mysterious death of a nun.
Demián Bichir, Taissa Framiga, Jonas Bloquet star alongside Bonnie Aarons who will reprise her role as the demonic nun.
Wan and Peter Safran are producing with Dauberman and Todd Williams serving as executive producers.
The Nun will haunt theaters on September 7, 2018, from New Line Cinema.
