“My apartment is currently being haunted by the ghost of a dead child and he’s trying to kill me.
That is how the viral tale of Buzzfeed writer Adam Ellis’ Twitter ghost story Dear David started back in August of 2017, which he still claims is a true story.
I’ve never been interested in convincing anyone that ghosts are real–I just wanted to tell my story,” Ellis has stated. “If it was all fiction, I probably would’ve updated more than once every couple weeks.”
The Twitter tale follows Ellis as he documents the alleged haunting of his apartment by a young boy with a dent in his head.
Ellis has now announced that Dan Lin (Stephen King’s IT) is set to produce a feature film based on Ellis’ story.
