Back in 2015, fans were crushed when NBC canceled the supernatural series “Constantine.” Fans’ (known as Hellblazers) efforts went so far as circulating petitions to bring the series back for another season to no avail. Even though an animated series did bring the character back to life and he did appear in “Arrow”, it just wasn’t the same.
It’s been four years and just when we thought we’d never see another episode of “Constantine,” but we were wrong. That’s right, the bad boy is back! A new “Constantine” series is in development at Warner Bros. and they want Matt Ryan to reprise his role!
With “Swamp Thing” premiering this May it’s a perfect time to bring back “Constantine“, exorcist and practitioner of the dark arts. After all, he did make his comic debut in Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing before getting his own comic Hellblazer.
Here’s a look back at the trailer for NBC’s series.
