New ‘The Last of Us Part II’ Trailer Reopens Old Wounds For Fans

With The Game Awards coming up on December 10th, game developer and distribution companies, as in tradition, re-release trailers for games that they released that year with the hopes to build hype and snag awards, especially the coveted award for “Game of the Year”. Today, Naughty Dog and PlayStation released a new trailer for one of the contenders seeking the top prize, along with the release of the trailer has come some hate from fans, of course, the game I’m talking about it The Last of Us Part II. The new trailer focuses on the story of the controversial character Abby and its dramatic collision with fan-favorite Ellie’s. The Last of Us Part II is possibly the most controversial game in 2020 due to how fans (over)reacted to the game’s plot involving the character Abby, so much so that fans have sent death threats to the actress playing her, and fans making a petition demanding a remake of the game.

37 Years In The Making: ‘Grizzly II’ Soon To Be Unleashed

Grizzly II: Revenge, the sequel to William Girdler‘s 1976 movie Grizzly will be arriving next month, 37 years after it was filmed. Directed by André Szöts and written by David Shaldon and Joan McCall, Grizzly II‘s all-star cast includes George Clooney, Laura Dern, Charlie Sheen, Louise Fletcher, John Rhys-Davies, and Steve Inwood. In the sequel, “all hell breaks loose when a 15-ft grizzly bear, reacting to the slaughter of her cub by poachers, seeks revenge and kills anyone that gets in her way. In the 3 days before the major concert, the gigantic grizzly has brutally attacked campers, a poacher, and a park ranger. The terror doesn’t end there as the giant grizzly bear finds its way to the concert grounds to go on a killing spree.” Grizzly II is one of those true, diamond-in-the-rough projects. New ‘Van Helsing’ Movie On Its Way From ‘Overlord’ Director

Universal is continuing to add new versions of their classic Universal Monster franchise. Deadline is reporting that a new movie that centers on Van Helsing is now in the works. Horror heavy hitter James Wan (The Conjuring) will be producing the movie with Overlord‘s Julius Avery in the director’s chair. Eric Pearson wrote the original script, which Avery is rewriting. Van Helsing has long been the mortal enemy of Dracula and hunts down and slays monsters of all kinds. First mentioned in Bram Stoker’s Dracula in 1897, the character was played by Anthony Hopkins in 1992’s film adaptation by director Francis Ford Coppola. Hugh Jackman starred in the role in 2004’s Van Helsing written and directed by Stephen Sommers. Syfy’s series also featured a Van Helsing, this time it was Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton), the descendent of Abraham Van Helsing. There is no word yet about who will star in the new film. Following the success of The Invisible

Movie Review: Backwoods (2020)

Molly (Isabella Alberti) wakes up in a trunk, with no memory of how her ass got in there, and wanders into a trap laden cemetery. Sounds like a typical Tuesday to me boils n’ ghouls… So how in the hell did Molly end up in the sinister soup anyway? Could it be because of the large debt her cheap skate boyfriend Hunter (Matthew McCoy) owes ye olde local drug dealer (Jeremy Sande)… or maybe it was jealous AF Hunter himself… he did quite peeved she was jawin’ with ol’ Noah (Michael Anthony Bagozzi). Regardless of how she got to the charmingly named Hangman’s Hollow, Molly is drfinitely going to have to keep her shit together to avoid the local slasher; namely the Hangman (Scott Alan Warner) his own damn self… a deformed sick-ticket religious nut, who hangs his male victims and keeps the ladies as his brides! Told in part via flashbacks, Backwoods manages to throw some fun twists and

Friends Try To Survive Lin Shaye & Tobin Bell This December In ‘The Call’

The Call, from Emmy® Nominated Director Timothy Woodward Jr., is headed to Blu-ray and DVD this December. Horror icons Lin Shaye (Insidious franchise, Ouija) and Tobin Bell (Saw, Jigsaw), star. Set in the fall of 1987, a group of small-town friends must survive the night in the home of a sinister couple after a tragic accident occurs. Needing only to make a single phone call, the request seems horribly ordinary until they realize that this call could change their life…or end it. Pairing Tobin and Lin, or Saw’s Jigsaw and Insidious’ Elise Rainier as they’re known to horror fans around the world, brings so much terror to the screen,” said Emmy® Nominated Director Timothy Woodward Jr. “Their chemistry is undeniable, and the power of their scenes splinters off, creating this dark, macabre world these characters are forced to survive in.” The film was written by Patrick Stibbs and produced by Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick, Stibbs, Zebulun Huling, Gina Rugolo,

Blu-ray Review: Silent Running (1972)

Freeman Lowell (Bruce Dern) spends most of his time aboard the spacecraft Valley Forge caring for the ship’s verdant greenhouses while the rest of the skeleton crew tears ass through the corridors of the vessel on dune buggies… when they aren’t shooting pool, playing poker, or generally acting like complete assholes. Speaking of the Forge; the ship is part of a space fleet that contains all of the Earth’s remaining flora after the planet has succumbed to a catastrophic environmental event, and they’ve been cultivating those plants for eight long years, and to say Lowell is attached to his job is an understatement. Imagine his outrage then when the orders come down from above to jettison the greenhouse pods from the fleet and nuke them… and imagine how he’s not going to sit still and let that happen… at least not to his greenhouse. After eliminating the crew, Lowell makes a desperate gambit to pilot the ship through Saturn’s rings
