During the 93rd annual Academy Awards on Sunday, the first ominous trailer for “Nine Perfect Strangers” was unveiled, giving Hulu subscribers the first look at the upcoming limited series, based on the best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty.
“Nine Perfect Strangers” “is set at a health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (Nicole Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.”
Talk about an all-star cast, the series features Golden Globe winner Nicole Kidman (“Big Little Lies”) with the guests of the resort being played by Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Regina Hall, Grace Van Patten, Bobby Cannavale, Asher Keddie, Michael Shannon, Samara Weaving, and Melvin Gregg.
Hulu has yet to announce the premiere date for “Nine Perfect Strangers,” but says that it is “coming soon.” so we should see it arrive later this year. In the meantime, check out the first trailer which gives off a seriously creepy vibe.
