Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, the prequel to the 1989 classic, is set to premiere exclusively on Paramount+ this October. Ahead of its debut, I spoke with its director, Lindsey Anderson Beer, who created a great film, proving that she has a bright future in the horror genre.
Lindsey Anderson Beer makes her triumphant directorial debut with Pet Sematary: Bloodlines after beginning her career as a writer on projects such as the series “The Magic Order,” and the movie Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, as well as the upcoming movies Bambi, Short Circuit, and new Star Trek movie.
In Bloodlines, set in 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine, behind but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history.
