This fall, prepare to be terrified. Lionsgate is set to unleash Bagman in theaters, exploring folklore, parental fear, and the lengths a father will go to protect his family. It sees a fight for survival in this heart-pounding horror that blurs the lines between folklore and reality as the creature’s shadow looms larger.
When a sinister figure that plagued Patrick McKee as a child resurfaces, his peaceful family life is shattered. He is haunted by a traumatic encounter as a child with the legendary Bagman—a creature of folklore known for kidnapping children. Patrick now finds himself desperately protecting his family from the monstrous threat.
From the people behind The Strangers: Chapter 1, Bagman is directed by Colm McCarthy and written by John Hulme. It features an impressive cast that includes Sam Claflin as Patrick McKee, Antonia Thomas as Karina, and William Hope.
The original legend of the Bagman/Sack Man spread worldwide. It was used to threaten children into behaving, much like the Boogeyman. The dark entity steals naughty children, throws them in his sack, and takes them away, never to be seen again.
Hold your children close; Bagman will stalk theaters beginning September 20th.
