A Surreal Story Set in a Snowy Hotel
The story follows a married American couple traveling to a remote European town to adopt a baby. They soon check into a nearly deserted hotel filled with strange, unsettling guests. Mysterious figures include a flamboyant chanteuse, a depraved businessman, and a charismatic faith healer. As the struggling couple gradually loses touch with their identity, terrifying secrets emerge, Variety reports.
Masterful Creators Adapt a Haunting Mystery
Martin Scorsese directs the film, based on a screenplay by Oscar-nominated writer Patrick Marber. The narrative adapts author Peter Cameron’s popular 2020 novel of the same name. Notably, the project marks Scorsese’s seventh cinematic collaboration with longtime star Leonardo DiCaprio. They worked together on films like Gangs of New York, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
The impressive ensemble cast also features Patricia Clarkson, Mads Mikkelsen, Jared Harris, and Welker White.

Charli xcx continues to build strong connections within the horror world. She recently appeared in the Faces of Death reboot before securing this new Scorsese project. The multi-talented artist is also producing and starring in an upcoming film with director Takashi Miike. While the title remains unannounced, the film follows three friends who meet in Kyoto, only to have their holiday turn into a nightmare when a tortured spirit possesses one.
She also collaborated with body horror legend David Cronenberg on her latest album. As she wraps up her tour, Charli performs in Las Vegas before heading overseas next year.
