After making waves at theaters, the action-packed film The End of Oak Street is finally heading to a TV near you. It will be streaming exclusively on HBO Max this November.

Directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, They Follow) and produced by J.J. Abrams, the high-concept sci-fi horror thriller fuses nostalgic suburban charm with raw creature-feature terror.

Plot and Star-Studded Cast

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor star as suburban parents forced to navigate a neighborhood event that rapidly devolves into a chaotic survival, leading an ensemble cast that includes rising stars Maisy Stella (My Old Ass) and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth).

The narrative centers on a tranquil cul-de-sac that becomes the ground zero for a reality-bending cosmic event. Without warning, Oak Street is ripped out of modern civilization and displaced into a hostile, uncharted dimension. The Platt family, anchored by Hathaway and McGregor, must band together as they face their new neighbors: massive, ravenous dinosaurs hunting through the neighborhood.

While most blockbuster dinosaur movies usually leave viewers disappointed, The End of Oak Street is a non-stop adrenaline rush that isn’t afraid to show you characters being ripped apart. In my review, I described it as “packed with practical action, genuine heart, and relentless blood and guts.” I also stated that it is “the dinosaur movie we deserve.” In other words, this mix of survival thriller, action, and sci-fi is a must-see.

Streaming Soon

The End of Oak Street will arrive on HBO Max on Friday, November 13. It will begin streaming on HBO the following day.
