When you think it’s finally safe to trust a tall ladder again, the franchise that turned a rusty TV tower into the ultimate nightmare returns with Fall 2: Deadpoint, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 sleeper hit Fall. If the original film made you swear off high-altitude maintenance, this follow-up is engineered to make you terrified of the entire planet.
A New Altitude of Agony
While the original trapped two friends on a tiny platform 2,000 feet in the air, the sequel swaps rusted metal for sheer, vertical terror. Deadpoint follows a new pair of thrill-seeking friends as they try to conquer one of Thailand’s most brutal, legendary rock faces. Naturally, what starts as an idyllic, influencer-worthy expedition devolves into a desperate, high-stakes battle against gravity.
The trailer promises to turn up the heat with unforgiving tropical terrain. Rock faces crumble at the worst possible moments, and dizzying exposure offers zero safety nets: no shelter, no ground beneath their feet, and no help when everything goes wrong.
New Directors, Fresh Targets
Taking over the reins for this stress-inducing expedition are The Spierig Brothers (Predestination, Jigsaw). They are bringing their signature knack for visceral tension to the franchise. The screenplay comes courtesy of original architectural sadists Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann. They produce alongside James Harris, Mark Lane, David Haring, and Christian Mercuri.
A stacked new trio of lead talent is hoping to keep their footing, including Harriet Slater (Pennyworth), Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), and Tom Brittney (Greyhound, Grantchester).
