Vanishing Angle has just revealed the stellar cast for the groundbreaking new horror comedy Queens of the Dead. Directed by horror legacy Tina Romero, daughter of the legendary George A. Romero. The script is a team effort from Romero and Erin Judge.
Queens of the Dead follows an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies who must put aside their dramas and use their unique skills to combat the brain-thirsty undead when a zombie apocalypse breaks out in Brooklyn during their drag show.
This film pays tribute to the iconic Romero zombie but with a fresh, contemporary, and queer twist. It features an ensemble of exceptional talent poised to deliver a genre-smashing, glam-gore thrill ride through the zombie apocalypse.
The film features an impressive ensemble. The cast includes Katy O’Brian (Twisters), Margaret Cho (“Fire Island”), Nina West (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Brigette Lundy-Paine (I Saw The TV Glow), and Cheyenne Jackson (“American Horror Story,”). Tomas Matos, Quincy Dunn-Baker, Becca Blackwell, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Dominique Jackson round out the cast. The film is produced by Vanishing Angle’s Matthew Lee Miller and Natalie Metzger, and Creativity Capital provides financing.
