Teacup

Horror maestro James Wan‘s highly anticipated series, “Teacup,” has unveiled its first teaser trailer, following last week’s reveal of the first images. In the teaser, we see flashes of characters and an imposing man in a gas mask. Based on Robert McCammon’s acclaimed novel Stinger, the series promises a chilling blend of sci-fi, mystery, and drama.

Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Kathy Baker, and Boris McGiver lead the cast of “Teacup.” The film follows a group of ordinary people thrown into extraordinary circumstances in rural Georgia. The group must come together to face and survive a mysterious threat.

While Stinger is a sprawling epic, “Teacup” offers a more focused narrative, maintaining themes of racial tension, societal anxieties, and the human spirit. The series’ title, a departure from the original source material, adds an air of mystery, hinting at a deeper meaning that will unfold as the story progresses.

The first two episodes of “Teacup” premiere on Peacock on October 10th. The series will release two episodes a week leading up to Halloween.

Hysteria!

The series, directed by Jonathan Goldstein (Dungeons & Dragons, Game Night), sees “a beloved varsity quarterback disappear during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s. “A struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.”

Bruce Campbell stars alongside Anna Camp, Julie Bowen, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis, and Nikki Hahn for the series created by Matthew Scott Kane (AHS, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), who also writes and executive produces.
