We are officially less than a month away from the release of Evil Dead Burn. And Warner Bros. apparently decided our blood pressure was a little too stable today. The studio has unleashed a brand-new clip from director Sébastien Vaniček’s upcoming grueling nightmare, and it proves that parental love really does survive the grave.
In the brief but deeply unsettling footage, a daughter lovingly tucks her sick mother into bed. The mom mentions a fear of monsters under the mattress, but in a classic Evil Dead bait-and-switch, the real monster is the one under the covers. Cue the manic grins, the levitation, and the psychological torment. You can watch the clip below—maybe keep the lights on.
Grief Counseling via Kandarian Demon
If you thought the high-rise apartment in Evil Dead Rise was claustrophobic, wait until you see where the Book of the Dead is heading next.
The story centers on Alice (Souheila Yacoub, Dune: Part Two), a woman desperately trying to process the sudden loss of her husband. Seeking comfort, she visits her in-laws at their secluded family home. Unfortunately, the Necronomicon has never been known to respect the grieving process or basic boundaries. Before long, her in-laws are transformed into a cackling, flesh-possessing localized plague. Alice is forced to learn the hard way that the vows she took in life… live on even in death.
The Visionary Behind the Bloodbath
Steering this new chapter into the abyss is French filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček. If that name rings a bell, it’s because he’s the visionary mastermind who recently turned arachnophobia into an art form with the relentless eight-legged creature feature Infested.
Vaniček co-wrote the screenplay alongside his Infested collaborator Florent Bernard. Translation? Expect the pacing to be absolutely merciless, the gore to be practical and wet, and your anxiety levels to hit an all-time high.
The Meat Grinder (The Cast)
To maximize the onscreen body count and deadite fodder, Vaniček has assembled a spectacular, genre-fluent global ensemble. Joining Yacoub in the fight for their limbs are Tandi Wright (Ti West’s Pearl), Hunter Doohan (“Wednesday”), and Errol Shand (Deathgasm). Maude Davey (The Leftovers), George Pullar (Stonefish), and Greta Van Den Brink (Territory) round out the cast.
The Keepers of the Cabin
For those worried about the franchise losing its way, rest easy: the sacred foundations remain perfectly intact. Original architects Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert are producing the film through their Ghost House Pictures banner.
And while Bruce Campbell won’t be personally revving up the chainsaw as Ash Williams this time around, the King himself is executive producing. He is joined by Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin, Romel Adam, and Jose Canas.
Evil Dead Burn rips into theaters nationwide on July 10, 2026. Get your tickets early—this family reunion is going to be a bloodbath. Check out the previous clip here.
