What begins as an enviable real estate win quickly devolves into a desperate fight for survival in Seasons, the upcoming horror film from Amazon MGM Studios, Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, 21 Laps, and 12:01 Films.

Reynor Joins the Cast

Midsommar star Jack Reynor, who recently led Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, has officially joined the cast alongside Lily James (Swiped, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies). The two will lead the film, which is an adaptation of the viral Creepypasta created by Matt and Harrison Query.

The film is by writer-director Drew Hancock. Hancock is already an expert at delivering scares and intense tension. He’s the twisted mind behind Companion and Barbarian. He also served as a writer for the hit horror series “Mr. Pickles.”

Terror Under a Different Name

Seasons originally made waves in 2020, when it was announced as My Wife and I Bought a Ranch. However, after transitioning from its initial setup at Netflix over to Amazon MGM Studios, the renamed feature is moving full steam ahead into production.

Ancient Spirits and Seasonal Rituals

The film centers on Harry (Jack Reynor). He’s a former Marine adjusting to civilian life, and his partner is Sasha. The two believe they have secured their dream future after winning a lowball bid on a picturesque ranch in Idaho. However, the couple soon discovers that their idyllic countryside property comes with supernatural strings attached. Unfortunately, the land is inhabited by ancient, territorial spirits who demand absolute obedience. So, to survive in their new home, Harry and Sasha are forced to submit to increasingly disturbing, blood-soaked rituals with each new season.

We’ll keep you posted as more details surface. In the meantime, watch Jack Reynor in action in Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. Stream it now on HBO Max and Prime Video.
