Get ready for a chilling trip back to the 1980s! Shudder is set to premiere the new original horror film, Night of the Reaper, this September. This psychological horror thriller promises a spine-chilling cat-and-mouse game in a quiet, suburban setting.

A Terrifying Game Unfolds

The film centers on college student Deena (Jessica Clement), who takes on a last-minute babysitting job. At the same time, the local sheriff receives a cryptic package that pulls him into a sinister scavenger hunt. As the night goes on, the two stories collide, trapping Deena in a nightmarish mystery that she may not survive.

The trailer has just arrived, giving us glimpses at the chaos that descends upon the small town and a killer that stalks the night.

A Talented Bunch

Directed by Brandon Christensen, known for his work on Still/Born and Z, Night of the Reaper is a throwback to classic slasher films, blending suspense and thrills with a retro feel. Christensen, who often explores themes of family and psychological terror, brings his unique style to this new film.

Brandon Christensen has established a name for himself in the horror genre, focusing on complex family dynamics and his ability to create scares in broad daylight. His films, including Still/Born, Z, and The Puppetman, have explored the fears of parenthood and the supernatural.

The cast for the film includes “Riverdale” actor Ryan Robbins, Summer H. Howell (Curse of Chucky), Matty Finochio (“The Order”), and Jessica Clement (“Gen V”).
