Doubtless Dreamers has crafted a provocative new genre-bending film. After a successful, award-winning festival run, Beyond Methuselah will soon hit physical media. This visceral story aims to blend thriller, sci-fi, speculative fiction, and terrifying horror elements. The narrative fearlessly tackles volatile social topics that most people usually avoid.

When Curing Cancer Goes Wrong

Imagine a medical breakthrough that completely cures cancer once and for all. Now, imagine an unexpected side effect that grants total, everlasting immortality to everyone. Predictably, society instantly fractures when this incredible treatment becomes universally available. Three years after the discovery, deeply held beliefs violently collide across the country. While many people celebrate eternal life, religious zealots fiercely oppose it as defying God. Consequently, fanatical extremists escalate a bitter culture war into a bloody, terrifying conflict. Ultimately, hardened convictions transform righteous morality into an obligation for extreme violence.

Bloodlines Under Siege

At its core, the gripping story centers on a deeply fractured family. Specifically, two estranged sisters must urgently unite during this chaotic, bloody societal collapse. Desperately, they race across the country to locate their missing mother. Unfortunately, ruthless religious terrorists are actively hunting down their mother at the same time. Meanwhile, their preacher father faces a devastating, soul-crushing personal crisis. Horrifyingly, he realizes his own inflammatory pulpit rhetoric directly fueled this murderous fanaticism. He must confront his complicity as the body count relentlessly rises around him.

Powerhouse Filmmakers and Compelling Score

This thought-provoking project boasts an impressive array of creative filmmaking talent. Filmmakers April Grace Lowe and Craig Jessen co-wrote the engaging script together. Previously, Jessen wrote A Promise of Time Travel, while Lowe created Jaw Recorder. Jessen also directs the feature alongside former actress Jamie Renée Smith. Known for acting roles in Dante’s Peak and True Blood, Smith makes her directorial debut. Additionally, composer Wieslaw Pogorzelski delivers a brooding, expansive original score.

If you are looking for a thought-provoking film that will leave you contemplating life and death, the award-winning film Beyond Methuselah arrives on DVD and Blu-ray December 1, 2026. A TVOD release will follow in early 2027.
