Filming is now underway for David Lee Fisher’s remake of F. W. Murnau’s classic 1922 black and white vampire film Nosferatu. Brilliant actor Doug Jones will be playing the titular character of Graf Orlok, originally played by Max Schreck.
Jones has starred in many films, including Crimson Peak, Hellboy, Pan’s Labrinth and the upcoming supernatural film The Bye Bye Man. He also played “The Master” on the popular series The Strain. Emrhys Cooper, Sarah Carter, Joely Fisher and Jake Turner co-star along side Jones in Nosferatu.
According to Variety, Fisher will be using a “…a mixture of live-action combined with colorized digital backgrounds recreated from the original film.” This should give the remake a similar feel as the original film. There has been no release date revealed at this time.
