When it comes to horror movies you don’t get much more iconic than The Evil Dead, written and directed by Sam Raimi. The 1981 classic is getting a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack this October, featuring “Audio Commentary” from Raimi, star Bruce Campbell, and producer Robert Tapert.
The 4K Ultra version features incredible resolution, a higher sound quality, and Dobly Vision HDR which brings new life to the film with an enhanced range of colors.
The Evil Dead spawned an entire franchise that lasted for nearly forty years including Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness and the series “Ash vs Evil Dead”. Earlier this year Campbell permanently retired his character, Ash. In a recent interview with the icon, we delved into the heroic character and what was next for the star. You can read all about it here.
Pick up your copy on 4K Ultra, Blu-ray, or Digital on October 9, 2018, from Lionsgate.
