It’s been five years since we last saw Vin Diesel in Riddick, just when we thought the franchise was wrapped up, we learn a new installment is headed our way. The news came via Instagram from Vin Diesel himself that the script has been completed and that he will be starring in The Chronicles of Riddick 4: Furya. The sequel was first announced back in 2015.

Writer-director David Twohy returned to pen the script whose tagline is “Everyone wants to be a beast until it’s time to do what real beasts do.”
While we don’t know much else about Riddick 4: Furya, we do know that this film will be aiming for a hard “R” instead of being PG-13.
The franchise kicked off back in 2000 with the first film Pitch Black. In 2004 The Chronicles of Riddick was unleashed on fans followed by what was thought to be the final film, Riddick: Rule the Dark which opened in theaters in 2013.
