Another pandemic thriller is headed your way. Titled The Survivalist, the film stars John Malkovich and Jonathan Rhys Meyers and recently wrapped production in the Tri-State area.
The film is set a year and a half after the fall of civilization from a viral outbreak. Former FBI agent, Ben (Meyers), is forced to protect a young woman who is immune to the disease from a dangerous gang hunting her. The gang is led by Aaron (Malkovich), a psychopath who believes he’s going to use her to save the world.

The Survivalist is directed by Jon Keeyes who also produces alongside Jordan Yale Levine and Jordon Beckerman under their Yale Productions banner. Matthew Rogers wrote the original script.
While no release date has formerly been announced, we should see it be released sometime in 2021.
