Salt & Pixel and VoxPop Games have created a bullet hell that combines 80s and 90s comics with cosmic horror elements. This is Outer Terror, a bullet hell rogue-lite game that can be played solo or with a friend as you face hoards of otherworldly terror. When it comes to the game’s controls, they’re limited as the attacks by the characters are automatic and all you pretty much have to do is aim the crosshairs where you want to attack. It strikes me as a callback to old arcade games you played on PC (if you know you know). The sound is a bit annoying as it’s repetitive at times and depending on what weapons you are using you may end up wanting to either lower the sound volume or mute it completely. When it comes to the game’s art, it’s a bit rough. I really like the comic book look when it’s used in cinematic moments and dialogue, but

Winner of the Official Selection category of Fear Fest Black Summer 2023, and scoring massive positive ratings on STEAM, Troglobytes Games, and 3D Realms’ dark management game The Kindeman Remedy has made its way to consoles to challenge a new wave of players to push science beyond its ethical limits! The Kindeman Remedy takes players to a prison where they take on the roles of Dr. Carl Kindeman, a disgraced doctor who is shunned by the scientific and medical community for his unethical research into a “Cure-all” medicine, and Sister Anna, a zealous Nun who wants nothing more than to free the inmates from their suffering by hand delivering them to the Lord. Now, onto the game itself! The Kindeman Remedy is a “Clicker” game, a point-and-click game where the characters only move or perform actions on something in the environment as long as you click on it with the curser. Vault Dwellers, power up your Pip-boy, get yourself a cold glass of Nuka Cola, and put on your Vault 33 Glasses from GUNNAR Optics! That’s right, GUNNAR and Amazon have teamed up in preparation for Amazon’s upcoming series Fallout, based on the hit game series of the same name that’s set to premiere on Prime Video on April 11th. I want to thank GUNNAR and Amazon for sending me a pair of the Vault 33 Glasses to try out! These glasses are awesome! With the retro look that appears to have come right from one of the Vaults from the game, or in this case, it bears the mark of Vault 33 (the Vault the Amazon Series protagonist is from). The glasses fit comfortably, and like the Year of the Dragon pair I was sent before, the lens is amber but you can choose between clear, amber, or sunglasses. In 1992, the world of interactive entertainment changed forever when Infogrames Entertainment released the first survival horror game, Alone in the Dark, which then influenced many future game developers who made many of the hit survival horror games we love now. Yesterday, THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive released the faithful love letter remake of the original. Thank you to THQ, Pieces (especially Game Tomb) for the reviewing opportunity! Alone in the Dark takes players to the Derceto Manor, a sanitorium, in the middle of the Louisiana Bayou, where Private Detective Edward Carnby (David Harbour) is helping Emily Hartwood (Jodie Comer) find her uncle Jeremy Hartwood, who says he’s being pursued by a “Dark Man”. Soon after arriving at the Manor, Edward and Emily encounter otherworldly happenings. Now, onto the game itself! Regarding CAPCOM, I’ve only really played the Resident Evil games and have not ventured far from that, but I thought I tried something new and did not regret it! I do like a good fantasy action RPG but few titles deliver the goods, especially if you’re waiting for the next Elder Scrolls to come out (personally, I think we’re in for a LONG wait for the 6th installment). CAPCOM came through with Dragon’s Dogma 2 the sequel to their 2012 hit. I want to thank CAPCOM for allowing me an early look at this game! Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes players to a high-fantasy world where you take on the role of The Arisin, a person who has had their heart taken by a dragon and whose fate is now linked to that dragon. Appeal Studios and THQ Nordic have teamed up to create a unique sci-fi open-world experience in Outcast – A New Beginning where players take on the role of Cutter Slade, a former Navy SEAL who finds himself leading an Alien rebellion against his fellow humans who are exploiting the planet Adelphea’s resources. Thank You to Appeal and THQ for the opportunity to check this game out! When it comes to the controls for Outcast – A New Beginning, you have to take your time as some of the buttons used for combat (melee mainly) are not where you would normally map them. Just give yourself some time to learn the buttons and it will become second nature. When it comes to the game’s art, it’s spellbinding! Brightly colorful and a dreamlike world filled with different plants and animals that fit the landscape, it’s pleasant on the eyes. Leading independent games publisher DreadXP will be bringing a large portion of its catalog, including upcoming releases, to play on the show floor of PAX East 2024. One of the games that will be featured at PAX will be The Mortuary Assistant: Definitive Edition. A circus and traumatic experience should go hand in hand with horror, right? Well if done right yes. But then there’s Daedalic Entertainment and Pixlesplit’s first-person psychological horror REVEIL. REVEIL follows a circus handyman by the name of Walter as he’s constantly waking up in his house but finding himself still in a dreamlike world that keeps taking him back to the circus where he and his circus performer wife and daughter work. When it comes to the game’s controls, the layout is…wired, there’s no other way to say it. The controls don’t feel natural and I found myself most of the time messing up. The voice acting for the game is good but the soundtrack gets annoying with the droning sound effects used in songs that are reminiscent of another game (I’ll get to that shortly). Leather gloves are the best but there are so many kinds out there to choose from that fit your uniqueness. An unsuspecting ally is here for this need, meet Maroon Bell Outdoor which specializes in leather goods for the outdoors. I want to thank Jeremy, the founder of Maroon Bell Outdoor for sending over some of their Lion Guard Motorcycle gloves and making this review possible! Right away the gloves look awesome with the skeletal patchwork sewn onto the glove, which I really like as it reminds me of my favorite wrestler growing up, La Parka (L.A. Park). The gloves are made with water buffalo leather, which is said to be three times stronger than cow leather meaning they’ll last longer and will over time mold to your hand thanks to the use
