It may have felt like 65 million years, but fans of Jurassic Park may finally be getting the video game they’ve been asking for! Saber Interactive revealed at The Game Awards their upcoming survival game set in the film’s universe, Jurassic Park: Survival. In Jurassic Park: Survival, fans are taken back to Isla Nublar in 1993 as InGen scientist Maya Joshi who failed to evacuate the island with the rest of the staff. Now alone on the island in the aftermath of the tropical storm, Maya will have to survive as she makes her escape. Jurassic Park: Survival will allow players to explore Isla Nublar in great detail and visit iconic locations from the film and never-before-seen locations. The environment comes to life and reacts to Maya’s presence along with the dinosaurs she encounters and new threats not yet seen… Players will also have to outsmart dangerous dinos they come across and use stealth and distraction tactics to escape them

OhDeer Studio and 100 GAMES are taking players on a psychological-horror ride with their first-person horror Anthology of Fear with their recent release on PlayStation consoles. I missed the game when it came out for Xbox but the devs were awesome enough to toss me a lifeline to check it out, so a big thanks to them for that! Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll like me much after this. Anthology of Fear takes players on a journey to discover what happened to Nathan by exploring the psyche of others and seeing the world through their perspectives. Now onto the game itself! Anthology of Fear‘s controls are hard to grasp as there’s no tutorial and the mechanics seem to change on a whim. When it comes to sound, it’s OK for the most part but it needs to be adjustable as music, sound effects, etc. are all on the same volume, which at times can be overwhelming. In September 2021, I reviewed Saber Interactive’s video game adaptation of Paramount Picture’s zombie flick, World War Z. The game, World War Z: Aftermath, included new levels and characters for new and returning players to enjoy, and enjoy I did! Now Saber Interactive is back with a new DLC Valley of the Zeke and they were awesome enough to let me take a crack at it! Valley of the Zeke brings players to Arizona where a caravan of survivors is making their way to an Air Force base that will become a settlement for surviving humans. The DLC includes four new characters, and two new Zombie variants, first introducing the Jaugurnaught, a large fast-moving zombie that knocks survivors down by running into them. The other new zombie variants are zombie soldiers who may be difficult to kill as they are wearing body armor and helmets. Nuns, brides of Christ who have sworn a holy oath to live a peaceful life bringing comfort to those who need it… unless they’re evil like Sister Madeline from Keplerians’ Evil Nun: The Broken Mask, a survival horror where players must outwit Sister Madeline and escape with their life from her summer camp. The game was quite popular on Mobile before being ported to consoles by Feardemic. With that, let’s take a look! In Evil Nun: The Broken Mask, players take on the role of a kid who is sent to Sister Madeline’s Catholic Summer Camp, but it’s quickly obvious that something is wrong. The “Camp” is in an abandoned school that’s seen better days, and Sister Madeline is armed with a sledgehammer and prays to Baphomet. Now it’s a game of cat and mouse to escape or die trying. When you think of horror, the last thing that would come to mind would be, of all things, Pinball. Zen Studios, the game developer known for their pinball video games based on classic real-world arcade pinball games and digital machines based on popular TV shows and movies, have entered a new realm, Horror! This is Pinball M, a pinball game featuring some of the more grittier titles you would see for a pinball machine. I got a chance to get my hands on Pinball M and I’ll admit, I’m slightly getting addicted to this game. Pinball has always been a guilty pleasure of mine in arcades because it’s mindless fun, but now you mix in horror elements… now you’re speaking my language! Back in the day when N64 was king, I played the hell out of the first two Turok games, mainly the second one Seeds of Evil, but there was one that got away from me… Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion. That game was hard to find at the time for some reason and I was finally able to get a copy of it from a garage sale… but I never played it. That’s different now thanks to Nightdive Studios, who have continued their hard work to bring old N64 games to modern consoles! This is Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion Remastered. Broken Bird Games’ first-person psychological horror narrative Luto will be coming out sometime in 2024, but PlayStation players will be able to get the chance to experience what lies ahead in the upcoming demo. Luto‘s demo is titled “The Choice” and is a stand-alone experience designed to showcase the game’s mechanics, atmosphere, and story without revealing too much of the game’s main story. Luto takes players on a psychological horror journey through the eyes of an individual who recently lost a loved one and now is in a deep depression and anxiety, making matters worse, they now can’t leave their apartment for a mysterious reason but can enter a mysterious world. Previously, 11 Bit Studios and Fool’s Theory announced their dark RPG The Thaumaturge would be released in December of this year. Today they have announced that the game’s launch will be delayed till after the new year.
