THQ Nordic released a couple of new trailers for the upcoming reimagining of the game that birthed the genre of survival horror games, Alone in the Dark. The Welcome to Derceto Trailer shows players some of the elusive residents of the manor that they will encounter and may have to put their trust in. The Second Trailer showcases what perks players can look forward to if they pre-order the game’s deluxe edition. If players do, they can play the game with different horror film filters, listen to the game director’s commentary, and even change the character models of Edward and Emily to their 1992 character models! Alone in the Dark will be coming out on March 20, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X/S

If you have never heard of Sleep Token, you got some homework. The anonymous rock band from London, England, has built up quite a following in recent years with their songs and quite noticeably, their appearance. Sleep Token recently played their largest gig yet at Wembley Stadium, solidifying that the band’s influence has grown, but with that growth comes more problems, the fandom itself. For context, Sleep Token is fronted by their lead singer who is only known as Vessel, the other members of the band are called Vessel as well but have a number attached to it but these members are now just identified by their number. Today (Friday) a lawsuit was filed by a Background Actor, the proper title for “Extra”, against A24 and director Ti West for wrongful termination, and actress Mia Goth for battery that resulted in him getting a concussion. The background actor, James Hunter, was cast as “Dead Parishioner” for MaXXXine, the third installment in the X trilogy. Hunter’s role involved him lying on the ground covered in fake blood with Goth running past him or stepping over him. During one take Goth’s foot got a bit too close for Hunter’s comfort and he passed his concern on to the second assistant director who then informed Goth. On the fifth take, it is claimed that Goth ran past Hunter and in the process, deliberately kicked him in the head. Hunter claims that after the take, while he was in the bathroom, Goth came in and began to mock and taunt him as well as “belittle” him and dared him to complain. Hunter

A Woman in Florida has filed a five million dollar class action lawsuit against confectionary giant Hershey over false advertising. The product in question? Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pumpkins. What’s the issue? On the packaging, it shows the pumpkin-shaped chocolate/peanut butter delight sporting a jack-o-lantern face but to the horror of Cynthea Kelly, the woman filing this lawsuit, it was just a pumpkin-shaped chocolate peanut butter cup! Cynthea is not alone as others on social media and YouTubers have had their Halloween experience ruined by the pumpkin-shaped candy not having a jack-o-lantern face carved out of it. Companies have the right to creatively advertise a product or to make it fit the season. I’m a big fan of gummy worms… well… sour gummy worms to be exact. I once bought an eight-pound bag of neon-sour-gummy worms and almost ate the whole thing in one sitting! That may have been OK when I was 16, but I’m almost 40… that’s not good. Unbeknownst to me (till now) a mad scientist, Dr. Rotten created a better gastronomical experience, these are Rotten Gummy Worms! I want to thank Team Rotten for sending over some worms for me to try! First of all, I love the packaging. The bags the gummy worms come in are made from wood cellulose and biomaterials which will break down in compost facilities. I’m a sucker for art, and I love the art style Rotten has gone with! The Ed Roth art style brought back a wave of nostalgia growing up in the 90s when his style was being replicated everywhere. Now onto the worms! I was given two kinds to try,

When Rockstar Games revealed the trailer for the long-awaited next installment to their “Grand Theft Auto” franchise, Grand Theft Auto 6, the news was met with great hype but also met with no one being surprised as the game’s trailer was leaked onto the internet, much to Rockstar Games’ horror. But justice has been delivered to the hacker who performed the deed, and it was not too hard for authorities to track the hacker down, as he was already in custody at the time of the hack! The 18-year-old hacker, who was part of an organized cybercrime group, was in custody and was awaiting trial for hacking Nvidia (a software company) and BT/EE (a broadband and mobile provider in the UK), he hacked into Rockstar Games with only an Amazon firestick, the hotel’s TV, and his cell phone, as his laptop was confiscated.
