Last of Us Part II Spoilers Ahead Laura Bailey has quite the extensive resume of voice acting jobs she’s had dating as far back as 1999 ranging from popular Anime dubs to video games but it’s her latest role that has her in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Bailey recently did the voice and motion capture for the character Abby in The Last of Us Part II, Sony and Naughty Dog’s most popular and controversial game in the last couple of years. The main controversy was fan made by the game’s own fanbase due to the character Joel, voice and motion-captured by Voice acting superstar Troy Baker, being killed off in the first hour of the game by Bailey’s character. THQ Nordic knows how to tease eager fans waiting for their chance to play as a Crypto, an alien described as having a “voice of an angry Jack Nicholson and a shorter fuse than a xenomorph on steroids” in the upcoming third-person sci-fi comedy shooter Destroy All Humans! The upcoming DLC Dying Light: Hellraid combines two of Techland’s games, Dying Light and the dark fantasy slasher that’s currently on hold, Hellraid. The biggest game in PlayStation’s powerhouse of exclusives, The Last of Us Part 2 is under fire from none other than its own fan base. Fans have gone from voicing their displeasure of the game in YouTube comments, Twitter, Reddit, and the dark web, and have now put it into action by making petitions aimed at SONY Entertainment demanding a complete remake of the sequel. Without spoiling The Last of Us Part 2, the main gripe many fans have with the game is the absence of Joel, the main protagonist from the first game. But looking through comments made by those signing the petition, as well as the comments from some review bombers, there’s more to their displeasure to the game than a missing character and unfortunately, it’s just flat out bigotry. Experiment 101 and THQ Nordic today launched a 9-minute gameplay trailer for their upcoming RPG experience set in a post-apocalypse world full of fuzzy little critters, Biomutnat. Biomutant is a third-person open-world RPG where a plague is threatening the tree of life and chaos begins as tribes are divided, players will have to bring order back. With a Kung-fu style story set in a post-apocalyptic world. Biomutnat combines melee, martial arts, and shooting fighting styles. Players can rewrite their own DNA to change their appearance as well as abilities and fighting style. Players can also craft weaponry with unique abilities and styles. The world is large and vibrant allowing players to travel however they want and even wear what they want! Biomutant will be coming out on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One but a date has not been picked yet.

Some good news for fans foaming at the mouth for the long-awaited first-person open-world shooter Cyberpunk 2077, a new trailer that showcases more of what players are expecting to see when they enter Night City as V, a cyber-enhanced outlaw. Along with this news comes an announcement that CD Projekt Red will be teaming up with Studio Trigger and Netflix to bring the world of Cyberpunk 2077 alive in Anime form in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners a standalone story that takes place in the same universe as the game. The 10 episode series will follow a street kid who becomes a mercenary outlaw known as an Edgerunner or Cyberpunk. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will direct the series along with assistant director Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare), creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designers Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal) and Yuto Kaneko(Little Witch Academia), and the adapted screenplay by Yoshiki Usa (SSSS.GRIDMAN, Promare)

Junkfish announced the sequel to their first-person horror survival game Monstrum will be coming out on PC later in 2020 and will be multiplayer. In Monstrum 2 four players have to escape from a floating fortress in the middle of the ocean while one plays the monster that stalks and kills them. The levels in the game much like the first will generate randomly adding to the stress of veteran players. Four players can be Prisoners who need to use teamwork to solve puzzles, clear obstacles, and to open new areas where they can scavenge for items that will help them outwit the monster that stalks them. Stealth is key to the player’s survival as they must hide and distract the monster. The lucky player that gets to be the Monster will have their choice of what monster to terrorize their friends with as each monster has its own unique ability.
