Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic have given me the chance to relive a part of my gaming past with the revamped Destroy All Humans! that surely will gain a bigger audience full of old and new fans. Some brief history of Destroy All Humans!, the game came out in 2005 from Pandemic Studios and THQ(before the name change) that was a nod to the cold war era alien invasion films and comics of the 1950s that also parodied 1950’s society that mirrored attitudes in the US at the time in ’05. I played and loved the hell out of that game back in the day, so when it was announced they were revamping it, I had to see if it held up. Destroy All Humans! is about an alien named Cryptosporidium-137, or Crypto, a clone, is tasked to go to earth to harvest human brainstems that contain DNA of their species to help further their cloning which is how

As our Furon overlord’s liberation approaches, old and new fans alike are no doubt getting excited to get their monkey paws on a copy of Destroy All Humans! set to arrive peacefully to our planet on Earth-date July 28, 2020, but more excited news is here about the remake/reboot of the game, it will include a never before seen or played mission called “The Wrong Stuff”. The primitive simians at THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games have carefully restored the lost level of the game after finding it foolishly hidden in the archives and have included it in the middle of the game! This was a foolish attempt to besmirch our Furon friends and cover Crypto-137’s attempts to peacefully bridge the gap between the Human race and the superior Furon Empire, WHEN WILL THE LIES END! *The writer of this article wishes to inform you that everything he has written is from his own gross primitive mouth and was in

Ubisoft released a new trailer today for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla that features the fate of the game’s main character, Eivor, and what drives them. Forced by dwindling resources and war, Eivor flees their home in Norway and must fight for the survival of their clan in England where strong resistance awaits Eivor and their people as well as fueling the inner conflict within Eivor themselves. Ubisoft also announced that starting July 17th, fans can listen to the seven-song EP from the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla soundtrack featuring the compositions from Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner, as well as an original song by Einar Selvik. The EP will be available to listen to on Spotify and purchase on iTunes.

Serenity Forge and Atmos Games were awesome enough to let me check out their 2D Platformer Neversong. Neversong is a remake/sequel to Once upon a coma. Players take on the role of a boy named Peet who fell into a coma after seeing his best friend Wren being kidnapped by a mysterious figure known as Dr.Smile. Peet awakens to find himself in a nightmare world where something is wrong with the adults after they looked for him and Wren in the asylum the two youngsters wandered into. Now onto the game itself. When it comes to the controls, it’s so limited that you master it within the first minute of gameplay. Speaking of gameplay, it’s actually quite fun. I’m not big when it comes to puzzles and platformers but Neversong made it quite unique and not very frustrating. Sound; the sound mixing when it comes to cinematics could use some tweaking as it’s a bit louder than the rest of

Early Morning Studio announced their dark RPG turn-based game; Vampire’s Fall: Origins will be coming to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this autumn. The game is currently available on Steam, App Store, and Google Play. Vampire’s Fall: Origins is a 2D open world where players will take on the role of a Vampire and through their decisions will either be a hero or villain. Players will face countless enemies, have a skill tree and abilities, be able to customize their character, choose dialogue, and 50+ hours of gameplay. In Vampire’s Fall: Origins players take on the role of a newborn Vampire on a mission to rid the lands of dark influences of the Witchmaster after it destroyed the Vampire’s village. On the quest for vengeance, players can take on side quests, and interact with NPCs in this massive open world.

There was talk a few days back when a leak came out about a new “Far Cry” game, today Ubisoft confirmed the rumors, coming this winter is Far Cry 6. Players will be taken to the fictional island nation known as Yara and lead a group of guerillas in an uprising against the nation’s ferocious leader, Antón Castillo voiced by Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian). Players will take on the role of Dani Rojas, a character that players can be as being male or female, and be plunged into the jungles of Yara with the intent of united the island nation and overthrow Castillo and his regime. Far Cry 6 will be coming February 18, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X, and Stadia.

Ubisoft has announced today the release date for the latest installment of their popular historical fiction series, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Along with the announcement come two new trailers showcasing what fans are in for when the game comes out November 17th. The trailers showcase new features for the playable character Eivor, who players can choose gender and customize hair, tattoos, war paint, weapons, and gear. Players will also be allowed to change Eivor’s gender at any time during gameplay. Players will also have to choose wisely as political alliances, combat decisions, and dialogue choices will affect the world of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Along with showing new features comes something new to the “Assassin’s Creed” series, more violent ways to vanquish your enemies and send them screaming into Helheim! Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be raiding your homes on November 17th, on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X, PC, and Stadia.

THQ Nordic has announced the release date of their upcoming action role-playing game, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, the remake of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The original game came out in 2012 and followed the story where players can play as one of four playable races with three classes to choose from each with 22 abilities. Players take on the role of a mortal that was brought into the world of immortals that’s at war. In Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, fans of the original will see improved graphics, combat systems, and all original DLC content from the original game included! With 100’s of hours of gameplay alone, in the year 2021, a new DLC will be coming called “Fatsworn”. Darril Arts, Stormind Games, and Modus Games announced today that their upcoming horror game Remothered: Broken Porcelain, the sequel to Remothered: Tormented Fathers, has been delayed from its original August release. Modus Games released a statement saying that the three companies have agreed to push the highly anticipated sequel from its August release, to October 20th. The reasons for the delay are to ensure that player experience at launch is flawless. Another reason is due to reactions from those who played the demo and saying that Remothered: Broken Porcelain is scarier than the first game, the game’s release would be more fitting to be around the Halloween season! Remothered: Broken Porcelain will be coming October 20th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
