The creepy AF trailer is here for the supernatural Korean horror film 0.0 MHz. Written and directed by Sun-Dong Yoo, and based on the comic by Jak Jang, the film explores a “bizarre psychological phenomena such as seeing ghosts. One day, five members of the club go to an abandoned house which is famous for paranormal activity. They summon the spirit using brain waves and try to hear a statement in person. That night, the true nature of the spirit fear reveals itself.” Myung-shin Park, Jung-Hee Nam, Yoon-young Choi, Shin Joo-Hwan, and Eun-Ji Jung star. 0.0 MHZ has conjured an April 23rd US release date. Several films are headed home early thanks to theaters closing across the U.S. The latest to join that list, just one week after its theatrical debut, is David S. F. Wilson‘s comic adaptation Bloodshot. The film follows Vin Diesel (Fast and the Furious franchise) as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to the Jack Meggitt-Phillips novel “The Beast and Bethany” with Fantastic Beasts Beasts and Where to Find Them producer David Heyman attached, Variety reports. Described as “Lemony Snicket meets Dorian Gray,” the novel from Meggitt-Phillips, which marks his debut, won’t be published by Egmont until 2021. The story follows a shallow man named Ebenezer Tweezer and a young girl named Bethany, and the prospect of at least one of them getting eaten by a beast in the attic. Heyman and Warner Bros. have teamed up before on the multi-billion-dollar Harry Potter franchise and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise.

Fans of both “Mortal Kombat” and Spawn are rejoicing as the news came that the beloved supernatural hero from hell will be duking it out with other members of the roster of Mortal Kombat 11. Spawn is the last in the Kombat Pack DLC to be released; the previous characters added to the game’s lineup of legendary fighters include Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, T-800, Sindel, and Joker who all were released to the game at different times over the past year. In the new trailer for the DLC, we see get a glimpse of Spawn’s abilities that seem to make him the most brutal character to appear in the game yet! Adding to Spawn’s awesomeness is that he is voiced by Keith David. Spawn will be coming to Mortal Kombat 11 March 17th to those who already own the Kombat Pack DLC and on March 24th to the rest of the MK11 community on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo

At one point or another, we all have seen “Based on a true story” or “Inspired by” on movie posters, book covers, and even in video games. As a result, we’re all guilty of it, we the audience immediately want to see, read, and play it because we want to experience the story, especially if its horror related! What happens afterward is a moment of either instant regret, confusion, or in some cases satisfaction without realizing we have a fishhook sticking out of our cheeks. We’ve all been there that after watching a movie “Based on a true story” we sit back thinking, “did it really happen?!” Or “come on that’s totally not how it happened!” and a lot of times… we’re in the latter…and we’re right, and it’s time to call out filmmakers, writers, and studios for misusing the terms “Based on” and “Inspired by” to hook audiences in for a disappointment! Raelle Tucker has a long list of great series she’s been involved with, she wrote and produced “True Blood”, as well as “Jessica Jones”, and now the second season of the series she created, “Sacred Lies”, is streaming FREE on Facebook Watch, from Blumhouse. I had the pleasure of speaking with Raelle about the series. Here’s our conversation: Horror Fuel: “I’m hooked. I watched what is out of season two and then went and watched season one. It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the anthology series “The Terror”. The first season was based on the book of the same name by Dan Simmons that follows the doomed Franklyn Expedition that was looking for the Northwest Passage in the arctic. The story follows the crew’s attempt to survive being stuck in the ice while being hunted by a supernatural beast. The second season titled “Infamy” was an original story that took place during WWII and followed Japanese American characters dealing with the horrors of war-time racism while at the same time being haunted by a spirit ripped right out of Japanese folklore. The concept of adding horror elements occurring alongside historical events is quite intriguing and fun. At the moment there’s no word about a third season (which I hope there will be one!) but till then the question remains if the series is going to continue the historical horror anthology premise, where could the series

Norman Patridge‘s horror novel Dark Harvest is set to be adapted by David Slade, the director who brought us Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night, and “Hannibal”. Deadline is reporting that the adaptation, written by Michael Gilio, has found a home at MGM. The novel is set on Halloween 1963 in a small Midwestern town where “ the October Boy is the prize in an annual rite of life and death. One teen, Pete McCormick, knows that killing the October Boy is his one chance to escape a dead-end future in the one-horse town. But before the night is over, Pete will look into the saw-toothed face of horror – and discover the terrifying true secret of the October Boy.” The casting process should begin soon.
