Sony Announces Premiere Date For ‘Searching’ Sequel ‘Missing’

Sony has now announced that the sequel to 2018’s thriller Searching is on its way and is titled Missing. While the plot is being kept quiet at the moment, we do know that the story is not connected to the original movie, but it will have the same “screen life” format where parts of the story will unfold over the screens of phones and computers. Storm Reid, Nia Long, Joaquim de Almeida, Daniel Henney, Ken Leung, Megan Suri, Amy Landecker, and Tim Griffin are set to star. Will Merrick and Nick Johnson, who worked on the original movie, will direct for Sony’s Stage 6 Films. In Searching John Cho stars as a father whose daughter mysteriously disappears. During his desperate hunt for her, he turns to her computer and social media to attempt to find answers. Searching 2: Missing is set to premiere on February 24, 2023. Star Wars actor Adam Driver is heading back to outer space in 65. Sam Raimi has teamed up with Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the writers of A Quiet Place, for the sci-fi thriller. After being in limbo for several years the film that also stars Ariana Greenblat (Avengers: Infinity War), and Chloe Coleman (My Spy), finally has a release date from Columbia Pictures, March 10, 2023. In 65, an astronaut who crashes lands on a mysterious planet and discovers that he is not alone. Zainab Azizi and Debbie Liebling are producing along with Raimi. We’ll update you when we know more.

Fans have been praying for a sequel to 2005’s Constantine since it premiered. Finally, our prayers have been answered! Deadline is now reporting that Warner Bros. is finally developing the sequel! I know what you are wondering, who will star? Well, the golden boy himself is returning. That’s right, Keanu Reeves is reprising his role as supernatural exorcist and demonologist John Constantine. Reeves is not the only one returning for the long-awaited sequel, director Francis Lawrence is also back for Constantine 2. Akiva Goldsman is tapped to write the script as well as produce under his Weed Road Pictures banner along with J.J. Abrams for Bad Robot, and Hannah Minghella. Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Erwin Stoff will executive produce. The original movie is based on the comic created by Alan Moore, Stephen R. Bissette, Rick Veitch, and John Totleben. Somewhere in the late 1970’s, a man murders his demon possessed lady pal, and said evil force enters a necklace… he then proceeds to bury her under the floor of the house they shared. Enter Shinji: (Shinichi Fukazawa… a name you’ll be hearing a lot in this here revoltin’ review as he wrote, directed, produced, starred, and provided special effects for the picture) the now adult son of the aforementioned man (also played by Fukazawa) who travels to his pappy’s ol’ dreaded domicile along with his spritely pal Mika (Masaaki Kai), a journalist investigating haunted houses, as it fits the bill nicely for her research. Along for the ride is a stoic Medium (Asako Nosaka) who immediately senses that the preternatural pad is balls deep in EvilSpiritville and it isn’t long before he ingests the noxious necklace and becomes host to the wicked wraith that haunts the locale!
