Jeremy Robison‘s Nemesis Saga novels are coming to the small screen for a series adaptation with Chad Stahelski, the man behind all three John Wick movies, in the director’s chair. Stahelski will also serve as executive producer of the new series. Deadline reports that the series, from Sony TV and Original Film, is titled “Project Nemesis” and is based on the first novel of the series featuring six books, leaving the new show open to multiple seasons. . Earlier this month we reported that “Midnight Mass” star Annabeth Gish had joined the cast of AMC’s Anne Rice series “Mayfair Witches.” Today, we have another casting update. Jack Huston (House of Gucci) has also boarded the series and will play the shape-shifting character Lasher who has been bound to the Mayfair Witches for centuries. Gish and Huston join previously announced cast members Alexandra Daddario (Texas Chainsaw, Baywatch), Tongayi Chirisa ( Antebellum), and Erica Gimpel (God Friended Me), Beth Grant (No Country for Old Men), and Jen Richards (Her Story). Fans were thrilled when news broke last year that Rob Zombie was working on a movie adaptation of the hit series “The Munsters.” Casting updates and images have been coming in since. Now, a new detail about the movie that centers on a family of monsters who moves from Transylvania to an American suburb, has surfaced. According to original series cast member Butch Patrick, the movie is a long one, clocking in at just over two and a half hours. Patrick Lussier, director of My Bloody Valentine 3D, Drive Angry, and 2019’s Trick, is directing the upcoming horror Play Dead, which is currently in post-production with Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night) producing. Screen Daily is reporting that Bailee Madison (The Strangers: Prey at Night, pictured above) will star in the lead role of the movie that also stars Jerry O’Connell, Anthony Turpel, Chris Butler, Chris Lee, and Jorge-Luis Pallo. Adam Mason and Simon Boyes penned the script for the film. Play Dead centers on “criminology student Chloe (Madison), who fakes her own death to break into a local morgue to steal a piece of evidence that ties her younger brother to a crime. Once inside she discovers the coroner is using the business as a front to sell body parts. When the coroner discovers Chloe is not dead a game of cat-and-mouse ensues.”
