The upcoming horror The House In The Pines just got a little more frightening with the addition of Mick Strawn, production designer of A Nightmare of Elm Street 4:The Dream Master’ and ‘Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III‘. The collective work of Mick Strawn is simply amazing as he has also worked special effects on Witchboard and Blade. He also has Art Department credit on films such as Candyman, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the television series, “Tales from the Darkside“. Strawn will be partnering with the filmmaking team of Mario Cerrito, Michael Joy, and John DiRenzo for the film described as “an ’80s slasher that is nothing like an 80s slasher.” “Bringing in a guy like Mick Strawn, who has been on sets of some of the biggest horror films in history is an honor. Richard (genre vet Bill Oberst Jr.) is a thief out for one last kick. Along for the final heist is his daughter and partner-in-crime Mouse (Mary Katherine O’Donnell) and Percy (Kane Hodder; THE Jason Voorhees mother fucker!), a true psychopath of an individual who truly annoys the ever-lovin’ piss out of Rich. Meanwhile, Melvin (David Rucker III) and his stepdaughter Caroline (Kelley Wilson Robinson) are hangin’ around their museum of outre oddities, just taking care of their newest acquisition; the supposed remains of a vicious vamp known as Masquerade (Veronika Stoykova). Of course those remains are legit A.F., and soon Masquerade is up and about, and you know damn well she’s crosses paths with that criminal crew mentioned up yonder… on Halloween night no less! NACON and Cyanide Studios have released the latest trailer for their upcoming Werewolf RPG, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, in which the trailer offers insight into the game’s protagonist, Cahal, a Werewolf. Cahal is on a journey of redemption after being forced out of the Fianna tribe due to his uncontrollable rage brought on by the mistreatment and threat to Gaia (Mother Earth) by the petroleum company Endron, who is the cause of the misfortune in Cahal’s life. Cahal can take on the form of man, wolf, and werewolf as he fights his enemies so that he can be reunited with his family and put a stop to Endron. First title up is Mind Rage (2001): Schoolteacher Michael (Michael Rogue), is one fucked-up dude thanks to his outrageously traumatic childhood, and let me tell ya, his present isn’t going to go so smooth either when a mysterious blonde named Jessica makes the scene in both Michael, and his policeman brother, Jack’s (Charles Hallahan) lives. Things soon swan-dive into a neo-noir swirl of ultra-stabby serial murders where every mother fucker standing is a suspect! Atmosphere is the best friend of co-writer/director Mark Allen Michaels (aided and abetted by co-writer Gwendolyn Gadek), and he uses it expertly to give an experience not entirely unlike if Hitchcock had directed Se7en… if

Ol’ Libby (Romane Denis) is happier than a clam in pigshit (of course as everyone knows, that is pretty damn happy) to be a new employee of an ultra-swank clothing store that is filled with plenty of those pretentious-ass types we all know and loathe. Anyway, one of those aforementioned asses steals a pair of jeans, puts them on, and before you can say “Ooh la la Sasson” she’s pinched in two by that ghoulish garment… and those putrid pants Hoover-up the red sauce left behind with the quickness! You see those sinister slacks are alive and hellbent on creating some serious employee turnover; and it’s up to Libby and her co-worker Shruti (Sehar Bhojani) to try and appease those terror trousers before the entire staff is devoured!
