Screen Media Acquires Horror-Thriller ‘Saint Clare’ Starring Bella Thorne

Screen Media, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (Nasdaq: CSSE) company, announced today the acquisition of worldwide rights to the upcoming horror-thriller Saint Clare, starring Bella Thorne (the upcoming Rumble Through the Dark, Time Is Up). Saint Clare follows Clare Bleecker (Thorne), a quiet catholic college student with a divine vocation for killing. Directed by Mitzi Peirone (Braid) and written by Guinevere Turner (American Psycho) and Mitzi Peirone, the film is based on the hit novel “Clare at 16” by Don Roff, whose sequel novel will be released in 2023. Producers are in negotiations with Rebecca DeMornay (Hand That Rocks the Cradle) to join the cast, with the additional casting of other key roles underway. The film will be produced by David Chackler, Arielle Elwes, Thor Bradwell, and Joel Michaely. An author, grieving the loss of her husband travels to a cabin in Louisiana to work on her new book, not knowing that something sinister awaits her in Faye, out this May. Faye marks the first one-woman feature film, directed by Kd Amond (Five Women, in the End, Rattled) who co-wrote the film along with Sarah Zanotti (Rattled, The Unraveling). Amond, Zanotti Sara De La Haya, Christopher Martin, Nichole Marie Lim, and Sarah Zanotti produce. Today, I am excited to report that Paramount+ has not only announced the season three premiere date for one of my favorite series, the supernatural horror series “Evil,” they have also released the first teaser trailer, which teases that the darkness is beginning to take over. Season three of “EVIL” begins “moments after the end of season two: when a newly ordained David and Kristen kiss. In season three, the two not only have to navigate this fraught new reality but contend with David’s involvement with “the entity,” an espionage unit within the Catholic church. ‘Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2’ Coming Soon On PC

1C Entertainment and LLC Blini Games have announced the release date as well as information about their upcoming Action RPG game Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2. The game is set in the Lovecraft universe and told through dark graphic comic-style art. Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 continues the narrative of the cult classic first game, but this time players will continue the fight against the unknown with new elements like crafting, using blueprints and resources to create consumables and even new equipment. Reunite with old acquaintances and meet new characters, explore new procedurally generated locations, defend yourself against dozens of different enemies and face off against epic bosses. This August, players will take to the streets of Hermes, a once-thriving city in a kingdom now ravaged by a plague and grotesque enemies lurking around every corner in Theymesia, a souls-like game by OverBorder Studio. Players will take on the role of the mysterious Corvus, our plague mask-wearing hero on a mission to uncover the truth behind what’s happening in Hermes and rid the kingdom of its new enemies all the while recovering his memories that may hold the secret to what’s going on. In Theymesia players can take diseases from their enemies and use them as weapons, update Corvus’ movements and plague weapons to use against punishing enemies of plague mutated monsters that will challenge players. Theymesia will be coming out on August 9th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A playable demo is available from now till May 9th on STEAM.

In the clip we see the group discovering that items they’ve found along the way can be used to operate things in the field such as water faucets and unlock new clues. “The fear is inescapable and the suspense nonstop in this gripping horror-thriller about six strangers who suddenly awaken in a remote, endless cornfield. Stripped of their possessions, they are left with only six items: a gun with a single bullet, matches, a lantern, a knife, a compass, and a flask of water.
