This November, director Mark Mylod has a tasty horror-filled treat for audiences, The Menu, which features an all-star cast including Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes, Hong Chau, Nicholas Hoult, and Judith Light. The film is “Set in the world of high-end culinary culture, a young couple visits an exclusive destination restaurant on a remote island where the acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu, along with some shocking surprises.” Guests get more than just a meal in The Menu, they get a taste of real fear as they are abused, hunted, and killed. The Menu will be released nationwide in theaters on November 18, 2022, from Searchlight Pictures.

The film centers on “depressed and in debt following the death of his wife, Santoshi (Jiro Sato) tells his young daughter he has found a way out. Pointing to a reward note, he vows to find the infamous serial killer “No Name” (Hiroya Shimizu) and cash in, claiming to have seen the man in the flesh a few days earlier. Focus Entertainment and THE PARASITE released the new gamplay trailer for the upcoming first-person dark fairy tale Blacktail as the game’s release will be next month. Blacktail is the retelling of the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga where players take on the role of Yaga, a girl accused of witchcraft and forced to fend for herself but then memories of her past returned in the form of walking spirits, Yaga is then forced to hunt them down with the hopes by doing so she’ll be uncovering her own mystery. Players will be armed with a bow and be able to use magical powers to fight enemies, and gather resources to craft potions and arrows. Players will determine the fate of the land by making moral choices along the way that will determine if Yaga will become a good, or evil witch. Blacktail will be coming out on December 15th for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S

Hot off the heels of her return in Orphan: First Kill, Isabelle Fuhrman is heading to a storage facility in the upcoming thriller Unit 234, from Andy Tennant, the same director who brought you Sweet Home Alabama and Hitch. Today the image has surfaced, via Variety. In the thriller, “Laurie Saltair (Fuhrman) discovers the comatose man, Clayton, in Unit 234 of her family’s storage facility, while working the night shift alone. What transpires is a thrill ride of a cat-and-mouse game for Laurie and Clayton to survive the night.” Jack Huston (“House of Gucci”) and Don Johnson (Knives Out) also star in Unit 234, written by Derek Steiner (Insurgent, Warm Bodies). Blythe Frank, Hadeel Reda, and Lee Dreyfus are producing alongside Productivity Media’s William G. Santor and Doug Murray. Colleen Camp is serving as executive producer.
