The Horror Collective have just announced it will release the award-winning horror-thriller Bring Out the Fear this January. Bring Out the Fear “follows a couple who is struggling to fix their doomed relationship and is lost in a dangerous forest that refuses to let them escape. This award-winning dark thriller will leave you questioning what is real and what is malicious trickery until the very last frame.” Written and directed by Richard Waters, the film won the Golden Stake Award at Shockfest and played at many festivals around the world, including Screamfest, Frightfest, Grimmfest, and IFI Horrorthon. The film stars Ciara Bailey, James Devlin, Tad Morari, and Brian Matthews Murphy. It was produced by Alison Scarff at Weird Pretty Pictures. International sales are being handled by Black Mandala. Bring Out the Fear will arrive on January 3, 2023, On Demand and on DVD.

Today, we’ve learned that the movie is set to premiere in April 2023. “When oilman Paul Sturges takes his family to Bahia Negra, the crown jewel of Baja and the site of Paul’s best-performing rig, the vibrant Mexican coastal town he once knew has mysteriously crumbled. In the decrepit ghost town, the last inhabitants tell Paul the offshore platform has awoken ‘El Demonio.’ Scared to be left alone, the family follows Paul out to the platform, and just after they get on, the man and boat that risked bringing them are ferociously attacked by a massive black shark. The dark thriller Blanquita, Chile’s official Oscar entry for 2022, made its World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it won “Best Screenplay” for writer-director Fernando Guzzoni. Now, the film is set to open in select US theaters this December. Young actress Laura López makes her film debut as an “18-year-old resident of a foster home who is a key witness in a trial against powerful politicians and businessmen implicated in a child sex scandal. As questions are asked, her role in the scandal becomes unclear.” Award-winning veteran actor Alejandro Goic co-stars as the priest who runs the home where the young woman lives. The cast also includes Amparo Noguera, Marcelo Alonso, and Daniela Ramirez. The feature is inspired by the real-life early 2000s Spiniak Case involving a child prostitution ring that provided services to several high-placed politicians and businessmen in Chile.
