SOLEIL, the makers of Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Ninjala, along with publisher 110 Industries, has produced a game that promises to be Ninja Gaiden meets Cyberpunk, two games with two very different experiences. This is Wanted: Dead was hyped up to combine swordplay with the John Wick style of “Gun-Fu.” SOLEIL and 110 were awesome enough to let me try Wanted: Dead; I wish to thank them first before I disappoint them with my thoughts on this game… Wanted: Dead takes place in an alternate timeline where we follow the Zombie Unit, a branch of the Hong Kong Police made up of a rag-tag group of war criminals who were given their freedom in exchange for their services. Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black,” Stronger, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”) and Jasmin Savoy Brown (Scream franchise, “Yellowjackets”) are set to lead Josh Ruben’s (Scare Me, Werewolves Within) sci-fi horror Green Bank, Protagonist Pictures CEO Dave Bishop announced today. Written by Aaron Horwitz (The Cleansing Hour), Green Bank takes place in an authentic American town where Wifi, cell service, and all other radio transmissions are heavily forbidden. The film follows infant sleep trainer Sloan (Brown), who realizes that the parents of the child she’s caring for are much more than the clueless yuppies they seem to be… The film is produced by Big Swell Entertainment’s Andy Horwitz and David O. Russell, whose American Hustle was Academy Award-nominated 10 times, as well as Suicide Squad. “In a marketplace where original horror-thrillers slay at the box office, we need no further proof that audiences want to have fun at the movies again,” said Ruben. “That’s the magic word. When EA announced they were making a remake of Dead Space, I‘ll admit, I was not 100% on board with the idea, but EA was awesome enough to take me on a nostalgic horror trip back into deep space. So with all the hype being built around it, how does the remake fair? Let’s take a look at Dead Space. For those not familiar with the story already, Dead Space follows an engineer named Isaac Clarke, who, along with others, is sent to the USG Ishimura, a large mining ship, after it sent out a distress signal. Soon afterward Clark and the crew discover that the ship is overrun with strange alien creatures. Not onto the game itself! From Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the writers of A Quiet Place, and producer Sam Raimi comes 65. Ahead of its March premiere, the UK trailer has been released and provides footage we didn’t see in the US trailer. In 65, which can be described as Jurassic Park meets Aliens, “After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.” Scott Beck and Bryan Woods are directing from the script they wrote. Sam Raimi is producing alongside Zainab Azizi, and Debbie Liebling. 65 lands in theaters on March 10, 2023, from Sony Pictures.

The next installment of the hit Quiet Place franchise, A Quiet Place 3: Day One, is headed your way and continues to expand its cast list. Deadline is reporting that Hereditary star Alex Wolff has now joined the cast, which already includes Lupita Nyong’o (Us) and Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things”). Described as a spin-off, A Quiet Place: Day One will be directed by Michael Sarnoski, who recently directed the Nicolas Cage movie Pig. Michael Sarnoski and Jeff Nichols penned the script for Day One. Franchise creator and star John Krasinski will produce alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller under the Platinum Dunes banner. While no plot details are available now, we do know when the sequel/spin-off will arrive. A Quiet Place 3: Day One will open in theaters on March 8, 2024.

Something bizarre is going down in the bayou; there seems to be strange creatures stalking the swamps…and by strange I mean even weirder than our moss encrusted walking vegetable of a leading man; namely Swamp Thing his own damn self (once again played with heart and conviction by the late great Dick Durock)! Naturally the monsters are the result of the machinations of Swampy’s old nemesis, the mad doctor Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan…reprising his role from the first film even thought he turned into a hedgehog beast and was destroyed at the end of the previous picture…1982’s Wes Craven helmed opus Swamp Thing), who is none to pleased our evergreen hero is still walking around handing out ass beatings to whatever mutant he comes across. Young Illinois native Pat Johnson (John Francis Daley) has one thing on his mind; sex. Well two things actually, because after seeing the work of special effects maestro Douglas Trumbull’s work for Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey, effects laden movies become Johnson’s primary passion! To that end he drags his friends into participating in all manner of ambitious backyard Super-8 sequels to some of his fav flicks including the likes of Jaws and Planet of the Apes… but his head definitely lies in the Hollywood hills… and thanks to a call from his well-meaning, and thankfully pushy mom he gets a chance to visit the studio where Trumball is working on the effects for Spielberg’s follow up to Jaws; 1977’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind! As fate would have it, Trumbull is not “in the office” that day… but our hero does get to talk to Spielberg himself, and eventually gets to see a work-print

In a dystopian future, armored masked guards chase a man named Jacob Stryker (Auggi Alvarez) all over hell and back in an industrial area. Why are they so pissed at our man Stryker?
