Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own. Running from 2000 to 2015, Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force concerned the adventures of three fast food items, none of whom are teens, that gather together to solve crimes which they never do. Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm is a direct-to-video film sequel to all that. Written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the movie finds a ship crash-landing on an alien planet. An astronaut (Driver) fights to save himself and another survivor from dinosaurs. The Game Awards 2022 wrapped up by delighting gaming fans around the world awarding fan favorites and scoring some upsets. But one thing was clear, there were plenty of world premiere trailers for some upcoming horror/dark fantasy titles! From the makers of Vampyr comes Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden where players play as a pair of literal ghost hunters in 1695 North America who hunt and banish ghosts, there’s just one problem, one of the Ghost Hunters is a ghost herself after getting killed on a mission. Now players will have to hunt spirits in the wilds of the new colony of New Eden and help rid the land of its ghosts while trying to find a way to save one of their own. From the first moment I got a cryptic email telling me about a new game coming from Glen Schofield (creator of Dead Space) called The Callisto Protocol, I was in from the word go! After the first trailer, I was very interested and I brought you guys along for the ride. I’m pleased to say that the awesome folks at Krafton and Striking Distance were awesome and allowed me to take a trip to Black Iron Prison and for this, I thank them for the early Christmas gift! The Callisto Protocol follows a freight transporter named Jacob Lee who while transporting cargo to the moon of Callisto, has his ship pirated by a terrorist organization and causing him to crash onto the planet that is also a maximum security prison, and in a Kafka twist, he’s arrested and made into the prisoner of the planet for no reason. Shortly after becoming a prisoner, Jacob awakes to find the prison falling

During the pandemic, there were a lot of changes going on that some people adjusted well to while others had no coping skills and made simple solutions painfully difficult to enforce. Game developers were also affected by the pandemic and like the aforementioned groups of people, felt fear, isolation, and uncertainty about the future. Indie game publisher and developer HOOK was inspired by this and made Edengate: The Edge of Life. I want to give thanks to HOOK for the reviewing opportunity! In Edengate: The Edge of Life players take on the role of Mia, a biologist, who has awakened in the hospital with little to no memory of what or how she got there, even more, she’s all alone, and not just in the hospital but in the entire city of Edengate. In the fantastic future year of 2022, big biz owns the world’s prisons and they love nothing more than exiling problem prisoners to a remote island known as Absolom, a piece of land populated entirely by convicts, cannibals and other assorted wacky-ass chaps! This is something Marine John Robbins (Ray Liotta) learns about intimately as his ass is thrown there almost immediately after being incarcerated for the murder of the commanding officer who demanded our hero murder innocent civilians. Ol’ scientist type John (David Allen Brooks) is having one hell of a shit day. Not only has his mother Amanda (Planet of the Apes‘ Kim Hunter), a scientist as well, been in the shittiest of health, but she is screaming all manner of shit about a brother John never knew he had (not before imploring him to destroy everything pertaining to her experiments). Speaking of “experiments”, the head of the lab where John toils away, Dr. Phillip Lloyd (Rod Steiger in a baffling choice of hairpiece) knows all about the things Amanda was cooking up in that lab of hers, and he’d do anything to posses it’s secrets… probably to add to the legions of monstrous murderous mutants he keeps in a secret prison. Have you ever been interested in trying to build something with your own hands and displaying it, or know someone who likes to tinker, there’s a company you may want to consider for the upcoming holiday season! Meet Mecrob, a company that specializes in making metal puzzle models aimed at adult hobbyists. I’m all about mood lighting so when I saw they had a Cyberpunk Spider Lamp, I had to challenge myself! I want to thank Mecrob for helping to make this review possible! It should be noted that Mecrob’s models have difficulty levels, this lamp is at medium difficulty and the most complex thing I’ve ever put together with my hands was legos, so I’ll admit this was a challenge for me but I got it done! The kit came in a small toolbox that housed all the parts in marked bags along with the instructions. Included in the kit to my surprise were a pair of needle-nosed plyers

Focus Entertainment and Mudfish released a new trailer today for their upcoming Sci-Fi action RPG FPS Atomic Heart along with news about it’s release date and Pre-orders. Atomic Heart is a first-person game where players are in an alternate timeline where the second world war ended differently and the world is in a utopia where humans and their mechanical creations live in harmony. At least that’s what it looks like on the surface as the world is really twisted and full of rogue robots and mutants that players must deal with in order to uncover the truth as to what’s really going on.
