Ed Gein…The Man Who Made his Own Furnishings

Back in 1998 I watched my first actual horror movie. I had always had a secret love of terror and an unaccepted fascination with horrors, but hid them from public until that night. I slipped the DVD of the classic: Psycho into the DVD player and was mesmerized for the entire 109 minutes. Watching Norman Bates changed my life. I delved into everything I could get my hands on! I knew that I had a lot of catching up to do for missed years of macabre immersion. I watched Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, House of 1000 Corpses and other horror movies. Imagine my absolute cryptic delight when I realized that one man, one real-life man, served as the inspiration for all of these villains. Ed Gein. One of the truest, most horrific villains ever to stain ground red with blood. One of two sons born to a religiously fanatic mother and an abusive, leather-tanning father, Ed grew

The Story Of Ronald O’Bryan The Real Candyman

Have you ever wondered why parents began checking their children’s candy after Trick-R-Treating? It all because of one man, known now as “The Candyman”. Ronald O’Bryan of Pasadena, a father of two, laced candy with cyanide and gave it out to five trick-r-treaters, including his own 5-year-old daughter and his 8-year-old son in 1974. You see, the twisted optician was deep in debt and had taken out a life insurance policy on his children worth $40,000. In his mind it would have been suspicious if only his children had fallen ill so he handed out the poisoned candy to other kids. His son, Timothy, ate the poison, hidden in an old-style Pixy Stix, which O’Bryan had opened, mixed with poison and resealed with staples. Only one of the five children ate the candy, Timothy. O’Bryan later claimed he held Timothy while he was vomiting and the child went limp in his arms. Timothy died en route to the hospital less

Young Woman Dies During Real Life Exorcism

Movies like The Exorcist, and The Conjuring put on quite a show when it comes the subject of exorcism, but for some, it can be all too real. Jaqueline Sanchez was 22-year-old years old when her family first reported that she was possessed by a demon. The Mirror reports that her symptoms began shortly after playing with a Ouija board. The young woman’s parents told local news reporters that Jaqueline began suffering from random convulsions and bouts of hysteria. After examining the women, doctors reported that they could not find the source of her symptoms. Her parents, not knowing what else to do, next took their daughter to the Church of San Ignacio de Velasco where she reportedly levitated off of a table and spoke in a man’s deep voice. During the exorcism that followed, Juaqueline lost her life. After an autopsy, the cause of her death was determined to be cardio respiratory arrest. Noting that aside from some cuts

A Look At The Story Of H. H. Holmes America’s First Serial Killer On The Anniversary Of Death

Today (May 7) marks the anniversary of the death of America’s first and most prolific serial killer, Henry H. Holmes. Born on May 16, 1861, as Herman Webster Mudgett, H. H. Holmes built a grand hotel, often referred to as “The Murder Castle”, which operated during the World’s Fair, a hotel built with murder in mind. Holmes’ “Murder Castle” had hidden body shoots, and rooms that appeared normal, but were actually gas chambers. There was even a crematorium built into the basement so that he could dispose of bodies and evidence. Holmes would also kill guests, clean and bleach their bones, then sell their skeletons to medical schools and doctors. When police began to investigate the missing people, last seen checking into the hotel, Holmes fled. The hotel was then burned to the ground thanks to an unknown arsonist. Holmes was captured in 1895 and soon confessed to killing 27. However, officials believed that the real body count was actually
